The Scariest Part of RE4 ??

The scariest part of RE? That's easy! Nothing.

My first encounter with Dr. Salvador.

RE4 was really the first real shooter I ever played so I really had no clue what in the world which button did what. But anywho, I got to the village, they swarmed me and I was forced to retreat...I saw an arrow pointing towards a door..."I'm free!" I thought...then I saw him. He started up his chainsaw and started towards me...I aimed the best I could at him with my handgun and fired shot after shot at him...I was down to my last bullet...when he got to me he raised his chainsaw with a scream that still haunts me to this day...I fired that last shot hitting him right at his waist...with a moan he fell to the ground dead...dripping with sweat I turned around and was faced with a whole mob of Psychotic villagers...my gun was empty.

scariest part of RE4?...When its raining and it gets dark in the village, they all have red eyes, and creepy music ensues. Everything just turns dark and...horribly evil. I was very creeped out the first time I played it.

Same here! I remember when I ran into one of the buildings while being chased by a ganado, and I blocked the door with a little shelf, then I ran upstairs and was waiting for him to come through the window. Normally they can't break through, but he just tore that door down and ran up the steps...just seeing him slowly walking towards me out of the darkness made me jump.

Haha, that's nice.

It used to be quite something when you'd block them off with the dresser in front of the door and you could hear them banging on the door and screaming, plus the BGM adding to the intensity of the whole situation. People do sometimes forgot all of those great things.

for me,the scariest part of resident evil 4 was
the part that creature in the island,you cant kill him in the first part
(even with the rocket)and you never know when he shows up

I have to agree with others who said RE4 wasn't scary. it had a few creepy moments, but not scary at all.

Easily the time in the freezer with that Regenerator. The closed in spaces, the fact that it could easily kill you up close, and just because it's really freaky looking.

The Regenerators part got almost freaked me out. Also when the Villagers are haunting you and you don't know where to hide. Mostly the traps also.

That thing the lake make me freak a couple of times. When it would dive under then burst out and if you don't move the boat quick enough, Leon gets knocked out of it, then you're stuck swimming for dear life as fast as you can back to the boat before being swallowed hole.

The principle of the thing was scary, but once you realise that it's essentially the first 'boss' of the game, you kinda decide it has to be kinda easy to beat. And then it isn't so scary anymore!

As a character, there's nothing wrong with her. It's just the fact that she's such a pain in gameplay.

Am I really the only one who accidentally skipped the whole Dr. Salvador scene? I didn't see him until you go to that one big house and he appears on the front yard.
