DayZ - An open world zombie survival MMO!

The mod is rather new so it's still being played. I still haven't bought the game because no one has yet confirmed they want to play. I'll definitely buy the game though so I can use the mod.


Btw. I wish I wasn't so lazy. There was a two page article on DayZ in a Finnish gaming magazine but translating is a bitch. The bottom line in that was that "it's gonna be big".

DEFINITELY BUYING THIS GAME AND MOD. Or better yet, download it. WHO WANTS TO PLAY WITH MEH? I bet we'll be a good team on this!

I would like to play, of course.

Btw. I'm not sure if you can get on the official servers if you download the game, as it runs on Steam.

I think it would be cheaper to just get it on Steam, rather than a store, as you will need the Operation Arrowhead expansion pack and the whole bundle, called Complete Ops, is only 24,99€ there. I have no idea how much they cost in retail but that's what I'm assuming anyway.

I'm from the Philippines and I can get things like that only in a store, which sucks hardcore. I really want to get things from steam, but I'm afraid the price will kill me, or would be enough to sell my laptop. And PS consoles xD

Just updating that I have the game and I shall be playing it. Anyone want to form a team at some point?

Have you checked the pricing on Steam in your country? Who knows, maybe you might get lucky. Usually the digital downloads are cheaper than retail versions anyway.

Steam sale is on and the game is now only 20€ in here. Now's the time to get it!

So many things to get! PS3 ?? OR GAMING LAPTOP? To play with Mass and others!!

PS3 with Mass, Thom and Nite?? ;_;

Here is what I put together in my mind if I get a PS3 or a Laptop:

PS3 - I get to play with Nite on BF3, Killzone with Mass and Thom - and IF I get ORC, we all play it together. And there's RE6 Co-Op. I also want to get Okami HD on it.

Gaming PC/Laptop - I get to accompany Mass in DayZ, and actually play Minecraft for more than 10 minutes each day. And download a few emulators blabla the usual thing-

Staying with Xbox360 and getting a year subscription instead - I can continue to play MW3 and the such with Thom and lots of people.

Forget about what I said about the PC, get a ps3! This alone is reason enough (totally forgot about it), and you forgot to mention that the PS3 also gives you easier access to Final Fantasy IX. I don't think that I'll be playing MW3 for another year. The game is actually starting to bore me a bit already.

Okami HD is a very big reason to get a PS3, the game is so gorgeous.
You also have Metal gear solid 4, Siren and a lot of others.
Dayz is one big reason to get gaming laptop/pc but it's still in early stages the time you get one the game will be basically bug free with more servers and you will actually have a chance to get online

On another note, I never knew Mass played DayZ.
This is brilliant, I have someone to team up with now.
I tried to team up with a friend but he would tell me his camp site in case I turned on him and his other friends, he would only come and meet me when I was out scavenging lol
Nice to see when the world goes to hell you can rely on your friends

I'm assuming this actually happened. I've seen gameplay of the game from DMJared and CHKilroy on YouTube and it's pretty dramatic stuff.

I could also make something like that from my failures in the game.

Yeah I been keeping up with this one myself, looks very promising. Looks pretty polished too.
