DayZ - An open world zombie survival MMO!

I don't know about you guys but this is propably the coolest mod ever deviced by man on any game. DayZ makes Arma 2 (available on steam for 14.99€) into a 225 km2 open world sandbox zombie survival. It truly emphazises the survival part as you have to gather food and water to stay alive and ammo is scarce. Operation Arrowhead expansion is also needed to play the mod.

I'd get it but it wouldn't be much fun alone or with a bunch of random people, mostly because they can ambush and rob you. Yes, that's an option. It would be beyond awesome if we could make up a team to take on the land of the dead.

They're so funny, I love the fact that they're taking it seriously! I love the first part too and how they're just planning things hahahah! XD

We all would make a great team, I swear I will be a medic, probably Thom too.

Now this is the sort of thing I would enjoy a lot sadly I don't have arma 2 =/ otherwise I wouldn't mind playing this with everyone. I do love how these guys take the whole thing seriously though xD

I watched it and it was pretty fun and hilarious. The mod looks really cool too. If that game has a night feature, they'll be screwed lol. I too wouldn't mind getting this game or mod, but my computer's graphics card sucks .

Hmm seems interesting. I'll keep an eye out for that one. I'll also keep this mod and game in mind whenever I'll upgrade my pc.

You don't even need any really expensive PC for this, the game used as a base came out in 2009


Just a few more facts on the mod: You can make fire and kill animals for food, loot bodies, fill up your water bottle at wells and the speaking is in real time (lip synced with the characters) and affected by how close you are to other people.

Price is the only thing stopping me from buying this. I've found the base game for £10 on gamersgate but isn't the expansion pack that is needed also a paid for?

Yeah, it is. It seems to be also 14,99€ on Steam here.

hmmm got it worked out at £24....I ain't got that kind of money on me at the moment but when I do i'll be more than happy to work alongside everyone.

@chrisredfielmusculo Since you say your computer can't run anything to stressing and you love this idea I would suggest Project Zomboid:

Its similar to this mod but an actual game where you have to survive as long as possible against zombies and AI people. Best thing is that eventually the electric will go the water will stop and then your on your own with whatever supplies you have at hand.
