| I will agree it's the best game of the series, but 2 is my favorite followed by the REmake of 1. The graphics, back then, were simply amazing. < 3 And even nowadays they aren't -that- bad. Makes me wish I still had my Gamecube, I'd play it && 0 again. D: |

| Nemesis was aggravating, in en epic kinda way. Every time you walk around a corner, SURPRISE! There's a rocket launcher or a mutated tentacle in your face. |

| New member here. I started with RE1 on Playstation so it has a special place in my heart. It was Perfected on the GameCube, It brought back the suspense and creepiness that, in my opinion, had been missing from the series in previous games, and in games since. |

| Just started playing Remake a little while ago. All I have to say is, "It's effin' AMAZING!" The ambiance, the lighting, the shadows, the camera angles, etc. I love how door knobs can actually break. That is just so awesome, IMO. You are not spoon fed throughout the entire game. You have to think for yourself. You don't have infinite supplies and you must determine where you think it's best to use what. |

| The only breakable doorknob is the one beside the supply room right? Where you meet the first hunter? |

| I think so. I've yet to complete the game. I'm not even a third of the way through it yet. I just broke that knob, actually. Haven't run into a Hunter yet. |

It's just not to everyone's liking. I've tried to get people into it (the older games) but was told that it's boring and too repetitive, all the backtracking turned a lot of people off. I guess to each his/her own. Just because we RE fans like it , we can't expect others to. |

| RE2 is my favorite but REmake is very close behind. I remember being so p**sed off when they announced that it was going to be a gamecube exclusive. i bought a gamecube just to play it and to this day it's still one of the best games i've ever played. |

But then the game would have being predictable =P adding enemies like that keep you on your toes. Really was unpredictable. I missed the news about them before the game was released and then nearly crapped myself when I walked past the one on the second floor just before you go through the door that leads to the replica key puzzle. Heard that growl and the zombie springing into re-re-animation, I would say the scary factor of that moment was on par with the dogs jumping through the window in the first game. I also liked how they tricked you in REmake, when you went down that hall and expected them to jump through the window it just cracked instead and left you .....?? Damn evil geniuses Capcom where |

| A masterpiece of a game. Scary as hell, graphics amazing, story keeps you on your toes, man the way RE should be. It's my favorite RE, and everytime I need to remember the true oriins of RE, I dust off the old gamecube and playthrough with Chris on survival mode. The dark ambient is superb. |

| I think in terms of story, RE2 is better. REmake is the best RE hands down, but there is a long period of time you explore the mansion and don't talk to anyone. Unless you're Jill, who frequently runs into Barry, Chris rarely speaks with Rebecca. But I guess horror games should be like that. Being alone is what makes it a "horror" game. |

It's all about the isolation that makes the original classics |

The fuck is wrong with you? Crimson heads were the greatest addition to an RE game ever and should have become a franchise mainstay. |

And that's what's great about them. I've played REmake through well over 10 times, but crimson heads still scare the shit out of me every time. |
