Making Claire a Wii U exclusive would enrage quite a few people and wouldn't be very profitable for CAPCOM. Maybe for Nintendo, but I doubt people would buy a console to get an extra campaign.

Still, as far as we know, this could be a Wii U exclusive edition like Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge was. Hopefully the DLC will still be available seperately and hey, at least in this case they didn't release the DLC before the new edition if that's worth anything.

It's mostly because I don't like hand held formats and if the port over rumor rings true, I won't need my 3DS copy.

Ah. Not an avid collector I guess. I couldn't bare to part with any of my RE's. Except for duplicates I have maybe, hence the RE4 contest.
