Dang. Is that good or bad for you? I personally love snow, since I never grew up around it. We don't get much of it here in Holland though, and when it does it melts in a heartbeat.

Dang. Is that good or bad for you? I personally love snow, since I never grew up around it. We don't get much of it here in Holland though, and when it does it melts in a heartbeat.

"Mercenary" work isn't like you see it in the movies. Contractors aren't lone gunman roaming around the battlefield, and you still have to follow orders given to you from your superiors in whatever PSC (Private Security Contractor) you're in, whether it's Blackwater Worldwide, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, or whatever.

Not to mention the likelihood of you being picked up by one of them without any formal military experience is as close to zilch as it can be. Hell, I've got a better shot with Shakira than you do of getting a job with a PSC.

First off, I never said a thing about patriotism, did I? Try actually reading my post before you respond. I was merely pointing out that civilian contractors are just another type of soldier, not the "cowboys" that movies portray.

I never said I had any objections to the privatizing of military force, now did I? In fact, I don't have a problem with it because it's a product to be bought by a consumer, same as an automobile or toaster. Get your details correct before you jump to conclusions about me.

I was only stating the simple fact that most mainstream PSCs won't even look at you unless you've got years of combat experience in Special Ops, which I seriously doubt you do. The only ones that will are likely to be two-bit paramilitary groups running around in the jungles of Africa terrorizing the locals.

Besides, with your attitude, you wouldn't make it in a state army, much less a PSC.
