RE6 first impressions (completely spoiler free)

Yeah, those RE1 retros are goofy. They should've just gave Leon and Chris their old costumes. No need to bring back those ugly polygons.

How long did it take to finish Leon's campaign? So far, we've heard 8 hours.

Well... I didn't want to rush his campaign, so I left it until yesterday to complete it

And also, if they're going to add more costumes eventually, they have to add a Wesker-esque clothing for Jake, Pleeease Capcom.

Agreed, and no problem. The costumes are a bit silly. But, I'm pretty disappointed they didn't give characters like Piers and Jake, some of the outfits from their partners. Piers could've be stuck with something Chris-ish while giving Jake a "Wesker" type costume. I assume Helena was in some of Raccoon City police uniform. I'm not bothered by the hand to hand combat though. What kind of "irks" me is the lack of enemies it seems. Looks like its going to be tough getting a high score, but I'm ready! My choices will be Piers, Carla, and Ada. :3

I'm finishing Ada's campaign, soon it will all be over.....something tells me I won't replay this game anytime soon

I felt it like that. 2 players can get pretty fun sometimes though. I think Chris/Piers was the best by far in terms of story and gameplay.

I saw the gamespot review. They said it was a game strung together by quicktime events killing monsters, running, and doing nothing while you wait for AI partners to open the door.

Saw none of those things with Chris campaign. Seeing a lil bit of it with Leon though.

I've decided I'm playing the entire game entirely. I'm playing all three campaigns at once. It's definitely no Resident Evil game. I have mixed feelings about this so far. I'm playing on Pro with my brother and man oh man, this game really hates splitscreen, it's not split friendly, even Resident Evil 5 wasn't this bad. I'm finding it hard to enjoy as title in general. I'll have to wait and see as I continue through the campaign.

Hmm it seems that most you like the game so far, that's a good thing. I won't be to play it until I get off of work -_-. I think i'm going to something that i've never did in an RE game and that's start off on the highest difficulty. I kinda want to struggle a bit through the campaigns.

Professional isn't all that hard to be honest, it does get a little lame along the way cause tree are just some scripted events that you'd never see coming and it ends up killing you no matter what difficulty it's on.

Mercs is easier… I only played one map, but it's hard to find enemies, then it gradually gets tougher.

I hope resident evil isnt becoming the cool thing to hate damn you IGN also does it have split screen? I thought it never lol

I'm running out of ammo quite a bit in this one.

Anyone notice how this game is getting critically panned? Relatively? I hope this doesn't affect sales because so far this has been a worthwhile experience.

Got last night at the launch. I've been playing it all day.

I don't understand how they can rate RE6 lower than RE5 but whatever, I'm enjoying it. The only thing I don't like is how sometimes the camera focuses in on some scripted event and I keep getting mauled by the enemy when I'm pretty much defenseless. I small complaint though. The rest of the game is good.

I ran out of every single bullet I have in Chris's campaign even though I try my damnedest to conserve. That has never happened to me before. Health and ammo is so scarce. But then again, I'm playing it on Professional. I end up dying just to get my health back for certain parts.

I'm playing professional in Co-Op and normal in single player, and I run out of ammo every time I play as Chris regardless of the difficulty. Rather frustrating how I'll have 170 handgun bullets in Leon's campaign that is supposed to be based on horror and then I run out of ammo in the campaign based on action.

Yeah, completed Chris' Campaign last night, and I agree, the ammo is so low, it's worse for poor Piers, who doesn't get a knife. Hopefully getting on to Jake and Sherry tonight (If my friend gets the game today)
