She's a clone. A character liste came out in January naming all the main characters, including Jake Mueller. It was declared fake, until the trailer came out and it confirmed every name on the list apart from whether its Ada or the Clone.

remember, the games are taking things from the films now. It's a clone, not a stupid rumour.
