Resident Evil 7 character (Poll)

Well to say from your posts not many want Chris to be in the next installment of the game, well you know what, if Chris will be in the next CGI and skips the game, fine by me, ill just keep watching it until the game with Chris comes out . honestly though, really doubt that either Chris or Leon will be dismissed from the next game, even more so, im almost sure that they will be teamed up and as for the old characters, guess Barry has the biggest chance for a comeback, since no mater where i meet the similar polls, he always is in the top of the charts. Devs have listened to the fans before and if they will in that case, it will only benefit the next game . . .

Ah, but is he really? In Code Veronica Wesker mentions the possibility of a ressurection, and I believe that Wesker only provided Javier with a sample of the T-Veronica extracted from Steve's corpse, not Steve's corpse itself.

Ah, but is he really? In Code Veronica Wesker mentions the possibility of a ressurection, and I believe that Wesker only provided Javier with a sample of the T-Veronica extracted from Steve's corpse, not Steve's corpse itself.

If you've played the Darkside Chronicles, you'll find out that Wesker used Steve's remains for the T-Veronica virus Javier used on his daughter hence why I said "and inside Manuela Hidalgo."

Id rather see the resurrection of Piers than Steves. No offense but i (and i think that many will agree) think that Piers deserves comeback(resurrection) more than any other passed on character in RE. So if someone is planning to play JC for me it would be better if thats Piers and not Steve . . .

Yes please, the cheesiest move in storytelling is resurrecting the dead. Takes the emotion out of people dying. Poor Ada Wong knows this is true. If Ada dies next game will anyone even care? We know she will be back somehow lol and if Piers comes back... my favourite thing about Chris's RE6 story will be moot. If he comes back I want him to at least be a B.O.W and he didn't get resurrected he simply just didn't die from the explosion or regenerated himself. I think that death is what defined Piers (the human version) for me. I don't want him to come back but be a memory or a pitiful B.O.W. Maybe Jake's blood can return him to human form or something at the end of the next game though... that might actually work.

Resurrecting characters is a huge cop out. And pretty much everyone does it.

Batman, Superman, pretty much every comic book character ever, numerous Dragon Ball characters, and even Sherlock Holmes in The Final Problem.

Bringing back dead characters takes away from what their death stood for and how it impacted the audience. My brother and I didn't give a shit about Dom in Gears of War, but we still had a moment of silence from shock and awe during his death scene.

They're already dead. It doesn't make any sense anymore. It'll make the story, and situation more complicated. Leave the dead behind, let it rest. While those who still alive continue their paths for survival.

My thoughts exactly. The series isn't Survival Horror any more, but the surviving part still stands. Especially since B.O.Ws are becoming more and more powerful and versatile.

I hate bringing back dead characters unless it makes a huge amount of sense and and isn't cheap, which it sadly usually is.

I actually have Darkside Chronicles. And while my memory of the game may be a little fuzzy, this is just a thought; but I don't consider those games cannon. Do you remember a revived Alexia murdering her brother for one? Those games, while fun, were full of flaws and inconsistencies in the cannon; Darkside in particular takes many liberties with RE cannon Through RE2 to CVX it rewrote some of the best parts of those games. So I consider them to be just the briefest of overviews, summarising the events of each game into condensed bites. All in all, I find it plausable to believe that he can still be ressurected. This is just my opinion, though, no need for anybody to bite my head off over it.

Piers death was a selfless sacrifice, to bring him back would be to ininvalidate everything that happened in that ending, ruining the emotion. And while the same could be said for Steve, don't forget that Steve was mutated by a villain and then killed when he broke free of her control, while Piers was completely aware and made a noble sacrifice to save Chris regardless. I will miss Piers, but I will always miss Steve more.

In all factuality, the Chronicles games are indeed canon. Well, the original stories anyway, like Operation Javier/TALOS and most of the unlockable extra chapters. The revisits are not.

Ok, but Operation Javier was completely canon due to being a new addition much like how Umbrella's end (And some side missions) in Umbrella Chronicles were canon due to being new the franchise.

What the hell are you talking about? And no, the current story arc doesn't need to be rewritten from some specific point. That's stupid. If they reboot, it should be an entirely new story arc unrelated to Umbrella, Wesker, the T-virus, and so on.
