Resident Evil 7 character (Poll)

Who would you like to play as in Resident Evil 7!? Let's see who the forum most wants in the next numbered game. Vote and post your ideas about who you want here!

Claire because she's hot and she hasn't been in a main game since Code Veronica (yes, I count that as a main game).

Claire has my vote as well. I think it is about time we see her in a modern game.

The RE3 we have today came into being because Code Veronica was taking too long in development and IIRC Capcom was legally obligated to release a numbered game on PS1. CV should have been RE4, IMO.

I have always had the same opinion that CV should have been RE4. "Resident Evil 4: Code Veronica".

Hopefully no one picks Chris or Leon, they REALLY need to take a break from RE for awhile. I chose HUNK because he's my favorite RE character.

I will be pissed if we don't have Leon and/or Chris in RE7! I won't even buy the game! Nah, obviously Claire. She deserves it more than anyone else. Either her or Jill. But considering Claire's last main story game was CVX, we should see her again. Although she was also in DSC, Mercs3D and Degeneration.

I picked Rebecca because she hasn't been seen since the mansion, even though she's supposedly alive. Claire would be nice too. I'm mostly just hoping it's not Chris, I'd rather see anyone over him.

That's a pretty bad reason to choose a main character, seeing how he never had a real important role in any game except for a non-canon spin off that received nothing but poor reviews… and he only appeared for half of a little while as a cameo.

It would be nice to know what Rebecca has been up to all this time. I would not be suprised if we find out Chris or Jill made contact with her about working in some form of science department for the BSAA.

Rebecca would be my first choice, but I don't think it she has the option. If anyone were to star in the next game, I think Claire would take the spot.

None of the above. My first choices would be either Ark or Carlos. If I had to choose from the options I'd go with Claire, though Rebecca and Barry would do just fine too.

I vaguely remembered you mentioning something about a legal obligation in a thread a while back. Looks like I remembered incorrectly.

Oh man... I guess I could as well have said something like that in the past, in which case I do apologize for the misinformation. The reason I started searching for the concept information to begin with is because I wanted to know if there was any truth to the obligation rumors and such.

I think it might be Jake. The second Jake epilogue with him somewhere in the Middle East/Northeast Africa might be foreshadow for the next game. And who knows? Terrasave might be in the area.

They definitely have plans for Jake in the future. I wasn't really 'feeling' the epilogue with him.

If anything, they'll have another few campaigns in the next game as well. Jake, Claire, maybe Leon again. Maybe they'll even pair Claire and Leon. Who knows. But for some reason, I don't think Leon is done hogging screentime.

I peronsally do not like Jake as a character. However, it would be interesting to see him and Claire meeting somewhere down the road. Let us just hope they don't end up producing little Albert Redfields when they do!

Now THAT would be a plot twist.

I like thinking outside of the box, if he were used as a main character they could figure out a way to make it work out...or more than likely they will fuck it up beyond belief.

Let's not forget that HUNK was originally supposed to star in RE3. Then again, they have kind of made him this enigma over the years so I'd rather have him stay as such. A minor appearance wouldn't be bad, though.
