Poll. Which is better Resident Evil 1 Remake or Resident Evil 0

Which is better out of these two games Resident Evil1 Remake or Resident Evil 0?

You should add an actual poll. There should be an option when you make the thread...I haven't made one on here before so I'm not sure. But I like REmake better.

Well I might have to go with REmake too, but I just love seeing my favorite duo, Scholar Wil and Practical Al.

Id say its a tight tie for me,REmake is just a legend,and I really enjoy Re0 for what you learn about Umbrella Corp. and for playing Rebecca <3 <3 ^^

lol Spike. Birkin and Wesker remind me of the Columbine killers. One is cold and calculating, while the other is more along for the ride and easily influenced.

Remake, IMO. Funky

Like both..But would have to say Resident Evil 0 .

Both were good, But I gotta go with REmake for sure. I just wish they would have done the same for 2 and 3 as well. Or at least remake 2 and 3 on the CVS engine from gamecube. That alone would enahnce them alot.

I think that they are completely different, other than the fact that they are a pair, but otherwise Wesker can be calculating and even cold sometimes, but that doesn't really describe his character, as for Birkin I am assuming the easily influenced one? Birkin in no way fits that one, if anything Wesker is along for the ride, and Birkin isn't influenced by Wesker, there is a mutal thing there, one example is how he decided to stay and finish his work on G, and if you want to include the new junk that they did where he was basically a spy for Spencer and gave Wesker the virus knowing that stuff(I think that is how it happened right?) then that is obviously not easily influenced.

Cold and calculating doesn't fit Wesker? He's one of the coldest and most calculating characters ever. It's been a while since I've played 0, but wasn't there a scene in which Birkin was hesitant about something and Wesker intimidated him? Ah, I can't remember. As for Birkin being Spencer's spy, I think it was more along the lines of Spencer tricking Birkin into giving Wesker the virus but there's no proof either way. I realize that Birkin was more brilliant than Wesker, but Wesker is a total survivor.

Very tough call...overall I have to go with REmake...but there are some absolutely brilliant scenes in RE0. I also like the banter between Coen and Chambers...they make a great pair. One of my favorite scenes in RE0 is when you enter the research facility and there is this massive, unbelievably chilling portrait of James Marcus glaring down at all who enter with an almost eternal dark energy. Absolutely spine tingling. But I still have to lean more towards the almost legendary REmake.

Not exactly, he can be at times, but some make him out to be like the Terminator or Neo or Agent Smith or something, stuff that just seems to stray too far from his character, and Umbrella Chronicals carried that idea on into 5 some, almost making him like a robot at times, when RE0 shows both of them scarred by the return of Marcus.

As for Birkin, the scene you might be referring to is the crappy version where for some reason they combined all of their cool scenes from RE0 into one stupid one, in which Birkin almost seemed intimidated, but that is not how it was at all though...

I prefer REmake. The no item box thing really makes RE0 difficult.

I found 0 to be pretty difficult too GL. Fun nonetheless.

I love Birkin and Wesker's shocked looks on their faces when they see Marcus on the monitor feed...absolutely classic. Not to derail this thread, but one of the things I realized as well during this thread is that RE0 and REmake have some of my favorite moments in RE soundtracks...some really atmospheric and creepy musical offerings from them both.

OMG I remember how scary the theme music was. The scariest music in my opinon is when you enter that room in the spencer mansion at the start of the game with all the mirrors and that dead crimson head on the floor

Yeah but that music in particular is creepy as hell esspecially if you turn up volume

I'm going to say the REmake. Admittedly, I was never a fan of RE 0. It just seemed to get really dull, and I didn't like the fact there was no item box or a way to store any extra items.

I liked RE:remake but RE0... after the Train part I just didn't care. I lost interest completely. The whole thing was sloppily put together, the pacing was odd, nothing special basically.

REZero to me was a desire to make an RE game with the motivation and inspiration to actually carry it out.

That room/hallway always made me jumpy...no matter how many times I entered it. Another REmake creepout is when you first explore the mansion main hall, and come across the steel gate door underneath the grand stairs, and when you try to open the door you hear Lisa's wail from beyond. Completely freaked me out the first time.

I actually prefer Zero. I don't like Remake that much, in my opinion the original is much better.

The Remake is better in my opinon!

That room/hallway was scary in particular becasue of the glowing/orangy red lighting. And the music, its esspecially scary when there crimson heads there as well.

Agreed, especially RE0, which is up there with the top RE soundtracks, which also includes Outbreak and RE5, and CVX had some good stuff too, and can't forget about RE2.
