Well, it's not exactly as retcon. FFX-2 It's continuity of FFX But because of it's ending is similar to FFX. Not the original ending of FFX-2. But the other one, you needed to complete all the chapter 100% to unlock the special ending. Where Tidus is going to appear at the end. The characters also is retcon. Because of Shuyin's appearance. He looked like, and similar to Tidus. The guy is also came from Zanarkand where Tidus is also lived. So that's why. But that game isn't a 100% retconned. It was like a half of it

The character I would most want back is actually Barry Burton, but what if I said there was a plausable way to ressurect Steve? 'Cause I've just noticed something blatantly obvious.

So my theory is that maybe Steve could have actually slipped into a coma and cocooned after the events of Code Veronica. Something like this would account for how Wesker could sell samples of Steve to Javier and still retain Steve's actual body; Wesker gave him what Steve shed. I can easily offer other evidence to back up my theory, too. The C-virus from RE6 was developed by combining samples of T-Veronica with the G-virus variant in Sherry's blood. How do people infected by C-virus transform? Through Chrysalis/Cocooning. So after Steve emerged from his possible coccoon the virus in him could have also adapted and grown stronger.

Other evidence? Did we ever learn what group Wesker was working for during the events of CV? No. So just maybe he could have been working for a group headed by one Derek Simmons. Get what I'm suggesting? The C-virus was co-developed by using Steve's now advanced T-Veronica strain.

This could have been possible had Carla not kidnapped Jake and Sherry. Because she did so, she was able to use his blood to make an enhanced C-Virus that removes the need for a cocoon. Notice that Carla, Derrick, and Piers didn't turn into Chrysallids. That's because they were inject with the enhanced strain.

To spice things up i would like Jill and Leon to finally meet(if they haven't in one of the time gaps of the games) Maybe Claire too. Leave out Chris and Ada on this one. So that in the later games when all 4 major characters team up. They already know about each other. No more introductions. Because of now. Jill is pretty much left out. It's like

Jill < Chris > Claire
........|   \    /
    Ada > Leon

Out of the major characters. She only gets to communicate with Chris. And some minor characters in the game where she's in. Even Helena knows more of the characters.

So maybe a Jill & Leon team up and halfway changes partners?

Yes and no. It was "The Organization" who owned HCF (Hive/Host Capture Force) that Albert was working with. To this day no one knows what happened to the Organization but we have our theories.

How about they forget about multiplayer altogether? Just focus on one character? Like in Resident Evil 4.

Jill and Chris have known each other way too long for her and Claire to not know each other.

Well we got Claire, but it is not for RE7 yet.

They could be using Revelations 2 to get the newer crowds to know Claire and/or Barry in order to use them in Re7 however.

I doubt Barry'll be in RE7. He's always been a secondary character and even now in RER2 he's only there to save his daughter.

I think it's safe to assume that Jill and Claire are going to be in Resident Evil 7. After the whole mess that occurred due to their absence from Resident Evil 6, Capcom would have to be stupid to leave them out again.

It would be a lot of fun to see Jill and Claire in the same game. I prefer female protags in horror games.

If it is Jill, I hope they don't keep rolling her in the direction RE5 was taking her. We have Sherry with healing powers, Jake with Wesker like abilities.. I don't want to see Jill become super Jill because of her infection with the T-virus manifesting into some kind of power. Her being immune to the virus would make sense going forward though, but many people have received the anti-bodies by this point I would imagine.

@Ssplain Well I'm hoping we get a chance to see Jill and Claire in Resident Evil 7, which is probably pretty likely! Regarding Jill having powers, that's not even possible. Jill doesn't have superpowers. In Resident Evil 5, Jill was under the effect of a drug (P30) which gave her enhanced abilities. If she's in Resident Evil 7, she'll be a normal person. However, she'll probably still have her blonde ponytail and a scar on her chest. Honestly though, that wouldn't bother me. I like Jill with blonde hair.

It is a video game, it is very much ~possible~ . It is, after all, Capcom's universe. I am not saying that they will give Jill super powers, just stating I hope it doesn't happen.

If Capcom was going to give her powers, they would have to pull a trick out of their hat I guess. There's nothing in her body that would give her powers. When she comes back, I doubt Capcom would go down that route anyway. She'll be the same Jill she's been.

Hopefully she stays a blonde, though.

I'd imagine they wouldn't take her down that route. Capcom might be stupid at times, but no-one is that dumb to make their entire cast look like a rip-off of the X-Men.

The scar I'd like to see, considering that it would be for continuity sake, but I hope that she goes back to having brown hair. Something about her being blonde (even if it is from all the stuff that went down with her being captive under Wesker) just doesn't sit well with me.

All it took was the G-virus (and possibly some government experimenting) to give Sherry healing powers. As for Jake, his inherited immunity against viruses made the C-virus give him super strength or something like that. I don't think it's at all out of the question they'd do the same to Jill. I doubt it but it wouldn't surprise me either.

There has been a lot of other people who have been able to control their viruses in the games, though more often than not it has still resulted in some kind of mutation.

On the discussion of her chest scar, I would love that to be a thing. For continuity's sake and as a proof of what her character has gone through.
