Resident Evil 7 character (Poll)

Claire Redfield.

Not because I am her die hard fan. It's because every character deserves another chance to get on the series again. Barry Burton is back too.

Well there both in Revelations 2 anyways but I'm kinda curious into what Rebecca Chambers is up to and what would she look like now

Depending on how Rev2 plays out, I may retract my Claire vote, but for now it stands.

Rev2 could be a segway for Claire's reintroduction to Resident Evil 7, which would be a smart move.

kinda wondering if she would have a partner in it who would it be.

I am really on the fence now on who I would like to play as in RE7. They did give Claire a nice new look which, like Vandal said, could be a segway for her into Re7. Using her again right after Revelations 2 could be a bit much though.

I feel like if they intend to stick with the main cast it is Jill's time to shine again. She was in Revelations, but her last time to star before that was back in the 90s (not counting umbrella chronicles).

So for now, I change my vote from Claire to Jill.

I voted Hunk but I might have voted for Billy Coen if he was there.

Note: I haven't played all the later RE games so I don't mean to sound stupid if it's common knowledge that Billy Coen dies or for some other reason is ineligible for a sequel.

Yeah, it was nice getting both Claire and Barry in a game. Maybe they will keep up with the fan service trend to an extent.

If they use Leon or Chris again they better do something to make them feel truly under powered. It takes a lot to make me feel the slightest bit uneasy playing as either of them these days.

Rebecca is fragile and could work well in a game! Maybe I should reconsidered my vote again..

If this happens. I will bring doughnuts. I have been hoping for Nicholai to come back in a big way for a long time now. He is one of the better villains IMO.

It would largely depend on his background. If he had previously worked with organizations like FARC, then I can't see the BSAA "dirtying" itself by bringing him in when they can generally pick and choose from the best of many Western militaries and law enforcement agencies.

It would seem Rebecca's fate is ambiguous as well. Was it ever stated if she actually escaped the mansion? I don't read up on her too much but I don't believe I have read anything official regarding her escape. I have always just assumed she did make it out because it is the best ending.

IIRC this is the file that Ben gives you when he dies. I forgot about it too until the last time I played through the game because I thought her fate was ambiguous as well. It is technically possible that Rebecca died during the outbreak. Nemesis could have killed her before he encountered Jill or during the time when she was unconscious from the clock tower fight, although that's doubtful since Capcom wouldn't just kill a character like that.

Yeah. I mean from a realistic standpoint, there is no reason for Rebecca to have to continue in the series. If it was me and I escaped from Raccoon City, I would get some serious physiological help and live the most minimalistic life possible. Buuut.. this isn't me, it is Rebecca and I am selfish and would like some closure.

Closure would be nice. Even just putting her in Terrasave like Claire would be better than how the writers seem to have just forgotten her. Before I read that file, my theory was that she died, possibly in between RE0 and 1 due to that monkey bite. That would explain her absence in Jill's RE1 scenario, why Marvin didn't mention her along with Chris/Jill/Barry in 2, and why there's no information on what she did during the outbreak.
