Every single one of you has missed my point. So fuck it.

If it helps any, I did. You are pissed about the "superpowers" everyone seems to have these days. Right?
Not that it'd matter to me, though.

I'm still going to buy the game, but what I don't understand is how Sherry got super human abilities? Seriously, Capcom can't just throw that in there without providing a back story on how she got her powers.

I bet it has to do with the G-virus in her.

As long as it's explained, I'll be content with this.

That's really the only explanation I can think of.

If Jake and Sherry have powers, I will be pissed. Even if they explain it. I still don't think they should have them. Why does everyone in RE have to have superpowers? It is getting ridiculous. If they have regenerative abilities, Jake should not have the scar. Plain and simple. That's logic. Zombies wielding weapons?
I read somewhere that the zombies will not wield weapons, that the new Jaávo which are a mutant variation will. Relax on the negativity man! (though the Sherry having superpowers is hard to believe, I'll give you that much. Jill had T virus in her blood and her abilities were pretty normal).
And about Jake having the scar, I don't think he was superpowered since birth. His abilities got stronger and stronger through the years it took for him to grow up. That scar looks pretty deep, maybe he got it when he was a kid, when his regenerative powers weren't as quick. Remember all humans regenerate when we get hurt, it just takes us longer. Maybe instead of a week to start healing, the scar was healing in three days? still incredible, but the scar is deep enough to stay. I don't know if anyone understands my point, but looking at it that way it's logical. You can't defend fictional regeneration with logic, because it doesn't exist, so this is the logic I'm using to explain the scar.

If they want anything to wield weapons, throw some human enemies at us. Leave any form of zombies alone. And Jill's powers were not from her T infected blood. If you want to believe that scars before the gaining of regenerative powers do not heal, fine on you. But that kind of dilutes the power in the first place. To me, giving Sherry and Jake powers (and having those powers already seem not thought through) is an illogical step and bad writing. So personally, I'm concerned. If you aren't, buy the game. We'll see.
