| I dont try to be an ass intentionally....but at your age you don't even know who Wesker is and what the character did for video game fans. Thanks for being cooler than most young dudes though What i'm saying is i waited years to find out that wesker was a bitch and personally at the end of the day it was disappointing for me. |

| Wesker was the best in RE1-RE:CV. In 4 he didn't really do anything and in 5, something was just off. It could be that he looked like he had jumped right out of The Matrix. At least now we have room for Alex Wesker to come in. |

in re4 he was plenty awesome. not just because he was voiced by richard waugh either. he just sat there the whole time, but had some fucking awesome dialogue. just seeing and hearing him and ada, waugh and sally cahill of course, were highlights of not only separate ways, but re4 in general. they were always hanging up on each other and stuff. brilliant. but yeah, he was pretty queer in re5, however politically incorrect that may sound, and i dont like to be like that, especially here on the forum, as i dont have anything against homosexuality, i dont discriminate, but thats the best single word to describe wesker in re5. |

I remember that you like Richard Waugh very much, but don't you like D.C Douglas at all? I think there's no much difference between Richard's and D.C's voice.I mean these two voices are deep,so they look alike to me. And what made you to think that? RE 5 had a different designer so it was normal to had a different look.Even i like his look from RE 4/Umbrella Cronicles/Remake,if you ask me in RE 5 he was seemed more masculine,a mature middle aged man but in good condition for his age. The only gay i noticed into this game was Ricardo Irving. It's a shame because he was a bad guy and a bad guy can't be a gay.

| Wesker always has been and still is my favorite video game villain. I loved him in RE5. He was the ultimate Umbrella weapon and his progression into what he became in RE5 was reasonable enough for me. His dialogue was great as well, though the delivery was somewhat off at times.
@Kris: Old news. Very old news. |

I think we have different standards on what we find reasonable. i feel like they jumped off the deep end by re5. i can appreciate certain lines of douglas', but overall it really bugs me how off it sounds, and how so many just accept it. the style, actions, personality and all just got completely exagerated there at the end. waugh sounded a little goofy with his laughing back in cv, but the cvx release had some improvements, and sounded great by re0 and re4. im obviously never going to accept dc douglas as a legitimate wesker, it just bugs me though. im still not over it. Relax beautiful, he said he was sorrry. honestly though, there is a difference, as i would expect a 17 year old kid like steve to sound like a doofus. and he only ad an isolated appearance, plus DSC. versus a character established over a few games, with an awesome voice, which was changed to mediocre at best. |

| Rebecca was what? 18 in RE0 and 1 right? She sounded fine. Age has nothing to do with it. And Douglas' voice work is usually great, with it being mediocre on a few occasions. His voice work is some of the better work the industry has seen. Where the Uncharted games absolutely top every other game ever when it comes to voice acting. |

the gender difference applies there, between steve and becca. again, steve had one voice, which sounded goofy. wesker has had multiple, with the latter va being....ick. btw, ive mentioned before how much i loved douglas' work in Buffy. he really brought so much life to the generic vamps, and after getting the sequel, chaos bleeds, the lack of douglas is really a negative to me. he just sounds horrible as wesker. regardless even, of the fact that 3 others voiced him prior, one of which really establishing the character and making him as cool as he was. douglas' impression just butchers the character. i cant enjoy any parts of any game where he is wesker. the less than 2 minutes of DSC that he's in included. |

| Wesker was like the big antagonist of the game. I mean like who is really going to fill these shoes. All the main bad guys are dead. they either have to bring him back or figure out some sort of way to put the games in a new direction.. they milked the raccoon city incident for many games and they milked wesker for what they could. now the game series IMO has to be taken somewhere new... I do miss the RC incident and all that...i sure loved re-2 and 3 haha |

We still have Alex Wesker, Nicholai and Veltro. I bet one of them is going to get the spotlight at one point. Well, maybe not Nicholai. |

Actually I think some of his lines were pretty hammy and it would have been pretty hard to act the lines without sounding a little goofy. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that. RE games need some hammy lines, and they're just hammy enough that you still take the plot seriously. - Mass Distraction wrote:

Did he become a good guy at the end? I never got the best ending. |
