| There's a law in the Philippines that promotes Sex Ed (Ya know, ACTUAL sex education and not just the teacher telling us how condoms are bad and abstaining is the only key blah) and endorses giving out free condoms to the poor since overpopulation is a huge issue here. Guess what. The Church is going ballistic over it. "CONDOMS ARE BAD THEY KILL SPERM AND THATS LIFE WAAAHHH WE MUST PROTECT LIFE". They even threatened to excommunicate the current president since he supports the bill.  I hope he doesn't cave in. @ Ace: Agreed :p I still remember when we discussed the Middle Ages in History class. *Shudder*. |

@ Ace: Agreed :p I still remember when we discussed the Middle Ages in History class. *Shudder*. you mean the reproductive health bill... that's what's going on all the time here... agree with you with the condom thing.. in fact one of my friend nurse said that theres still a possibility that sperm still pass through... i wish there was a law for having limit for kids... but the church always gets in the way... sorry but i'm poor in philippine history, i'm not interested in history. But i do like watching some documentaries... pretty much the hitler and america ones |

| Haha, alright. Don't say I didn't warn ya I'm an avid supporter of Democracy so... No Communism for me, but I agree 100% about the Death Penalty. We used to have it, during Gloria's reign (I think? Or was it Eraps?) But nooo. The Church wouldn't have that. Doesn't a democracy entail a separation of the Church and the State? It seems like our country keeps forgetting that. :/ |

| They haven't made much progress, so why start now? I really resent the Catholic Church.  And divorce is illegal. Let me repeat that. DIVORCE. IS. ILLEGAL. The life/death thing... Interesting paradox... Not sure I understand though :s

| Divorce is illegal? That's fucked. Also, condoms are only about 97% effective. Sometimes sperm can get through. But really...doesn't the church know that sex kills sperm too? I mean...billions of them die. Only a few make it, if any. Communism as an idea is perfectly fine. It just doesn't work. But I agree with Ace that we need some socialist ideas to balance out (or fill the holes) that capitalism leaves behind. Obviously keep the democracy, but bring in communist socialist ideals once in a while. |
