| Several games are taunting me right now; Metro: Last Light and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. I haven't played Ghost Recon since last year, I got stuck when the game glitched on me. It sent way after wave of unrelenting goons; needless to say I rage quit it, but just recently picked it back up. I also recently finished a scene in Metro: Last Light where I depleted all my resources trying to survive. I don't know what's ahead of me next. Plus, I've been busy as hell to even be playing anything. Aside from the occasional quick match on Injustice. |

| Heavy Rain, again. This was my second play through. All three made it to save Shaun. Now I'm playing where Ethan is a horrible dad. |

| Metro: Last Light was extremely satisfying. That game had everything to scratch every itch I had. Survival, stealth, action, horror, exploration, several rpg elements with upgrades, set in post apocalyptic Russia, everything was done so well and everything blended in so well you hardly noticed the shift in gameplay style. If you're a fan of anything, you're going to enjoy this game. |

| Recently beat REmake again, just finished RE2 and my new copy of RE3 should be in Saturday. Trying to play through the series in order, we shall see how that goes! Maybe I can finish before the new year if I don't quit :p
Also may try out the new MtG with some friends on steam this week. |

So I decided to pick up FFXIII to see what the big deal is with that franchise, so far is hasn't been proving itself worthy of a title. One hour in and I have no idea why the characters are there, what relation they have with each other, what the hell is going on, who are these people to begin with why don't I have a gun like everyone else, that Hope kid is pissing me off, and "that person with the blue hair is a BOY?!?" I want to find out more about Lightning, but every time I ask, the game slaps my hands and scolds me telling me: "no, you have to watch this elongated cutscene with some random enemy blabbing his mouth off with no coherent thought." The only character I seem to like so far is Snow, and it may only be because he holds the key to the only single good voice actor in the entire game so far. I may have a bias because Troy Baker voiced some of my favorite characters, but it makes everyone else seem distant or foreign. Snow seems like he doesn't belong in this universe, rather something more akin to Devil May Cry. I wish they had gotten a different voice actor for Snow, because Troy is saying possibly the worst lines I've ever heard him utter. Otherwise, I feel like I wasted an hour of my life so far. |

Otherwise, I feel like I wasted an hour of my life so far. FFXIII is a horrible way to start the franchise, seriously. It's NOTHING like the real FF games. Try any game from FFIV - X. Those are pretty much all masterpieces. Oh and FFXIII gets a lot better. The first few hours are the most boring. |

| I suppose my one rule that newer is always better has been broken yet again. It's the simplest thing for me to do anyway. I won it on a bid on ebay where the shipping was actually more expensive than what I paid for the actual game. I knew it got a bad rap, and I knew that North American critics were too leaniant on it, but I didn't expect this. I'm simutainiously pushing through the equally confusing story of Project X Zone, and it is way more satasfying than FFXIII. You'd expect a console RPG to offer more but it instead wishes to be all about spectacle rather than gameplay.
Still, pushing through the first few hours to get to any good parts doesn't seem like a point in it's favor. |

| Well, for a 55 hour game, those 1,5-2 hours aren't game breaking. It's never gonna be an amazing game, I'd give it a 7/10, but it does get a LOT better. And the story in the game is pretty good, the battle system gets pretty good as well a bit later on. Characters are shit though. Especially Hope and Vanille *shudders*. |

| The moment I saw Hope I knew I was going to hate him. Is Vanille that kooky wacko girl with Hope? Of she is, I hate her too. The black dude with the afro tagging along with Lightning is pretty cool though.
I'm just always wondering if these characters acknowledge the clothing they're dressing themselves with makes them all look retarded. The only characters with decent design is Snow and Black dude. |

| A lot of my friends are huge into Final Fantasy, I have tried 1 of the older ones and more recently the beta for the new mmo. Maybe I have missed too much to jump in, but I did not understand anything that was going on and I agree with Vandal, the characters all looked pretty ridiculous My friends are crazy about the series. Maybe I just missed this particular train. |

You're right. And so is where I'm at in Ch. 11. I'm taking a break at the moment because I can't get past the thirst C'ieth crystal challenge, because I'm apparently not strong enough. Even if I did decide to continue on, I heard you need your Crystariums that you'll use to be about level 5. Mine are only at level 3, and it takes forever to level them up. |

| The only reason I picked it up is because Lightning Returns and Final Fantasy XV look sick. I thought maybe I could get to a starting point at least in XVIII. I am wrong. I am wrong, wrong, wrong. I don't know if I'll finish Final Fantasy XVIII. |

FFXVIII? You're from the future? Seriously though, you should look into older games in franchises more. Those are usually the better ones IMO. Especially with FF and RE. @Zombieprincess: IX is my fave, but X and VII are definitely up there. OT: I've just recently finished Assassin's Creed Revelations and it's really good. 8/10. I liked 2 and Brotherhood more though. |
