Power-hungry, intelligent and cunning, Albert Wesker was a man who sought power and domination over the entire human race, all for his own gain. To this end, he was affiliated with the Umbrella Corporation, as one of its most promising researchers, and at the same time participated in illicit activities by going undercover as an officer in the R.P.D. He founded the S.T.A.R.S. unit and became its lead captain. This changed before, during, and after the Raccoon City Outbreak, where Wesker became affiliated with a mysterious group known as the "Organization", and became instrumental in bringing about the downfall of Umbrella. Wesker planned to remake Umbrella as his own empire, and contacted numerous other Umbrella rivals to gain profit to achieve this. Afterwards, he joined Tricell, Inc. to recreate the entire world in his own image. His ultimate goal was to lead the human race into a new era under his leadership, as he thought the world was in a state that would inevitably bring about its own destruction. Through the course of his campaign, Wesker fought a seemingly never ending battle with Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, former S.T.A.R.S. agents and the most persistent of his enemies. He came to deeply hate the two as the years went on, growing an immense desire for revenge. Initially the main villain of the original Resident Evil, since his reappearance in CODE: Veronica, manipulation of the story events from behind-the-scenes in further games, and role as main villain in Resident Evil 5, Wesker is considered by many fans and official sources to be the primary antagonist of the entire Resident Evil series, even surpassing Ozwell E. Spencer, whose vision and ideals were where his own came from. He was also portrayed as the primary antagonist of the Resident Evil films.

That is some very good info on Wesker. LIke Insanity said, it's hard to believe he was 49 years old by the time he died. Wesker has indeed left a long-lasting and enduring legacy in the world of RE. We'll miss him!

And now that he and Spencer are dead, Barry is the oldest person in the series

Oh lord, let's hope they don't start killing off RE characters by order of age! If so, Barry's next, but Ashley's near the very end of the age totem pole, so it'll take forever for her to die! lol

If Sherry was 12 in RE2 (1998), and Ashley was 20 in RE4 (2004) then that means that Sherry is 23 and Ashley is 25. Atleast we can rejoice in knowing that Ashley will die first lol!

I was pissed that CAPCOM killed of Wesker. He was the reason Resident Evil was getting interesting, with his super speed and all.
Now who will become the next bad ass in Resident Evil. Wesker should not have died like that in Resident Evil 5, he had alot more left in him.
Chris no longer has a rival, who is Chris gonna get smashed by now. There was not an evil guy better for the Resident Evil series than Wesker.

Yes it is sad, Wesker's dead but he tried so bad to kill Chris and ended up becoming a complete monster (plus he was somehow decapitated by those rockets )

On the contrary, I was moderately pleased that they killed him off. Ever since they changed his voice, personality and style starting with Umbrella Chronicles, he just hasn't been the same. Not to mention that all of those horrible things returned for him in RE5.

Chris was great in the game, but it didn't feel like him and Wesker were fighting, it felt like some cheap ripoff. All we can do now is see him in flashbacks or prequels, and hope they are as tastefully done as in Darkside, despite the crappy DC Douglas voice.
