maybe RE4 is one of the easiest but I wouldnt say the shortest

Out of the main games, I would. Probably because it's such a breeze and has very little backtracking, though it still exists.

Out of the main games I would say RE3 went the fastest for me...in RE4 when I thought I was nearing the end of the game something would happen in the game to complicate things

RE2 was probably the shortest. Easiest too, as RE3 actually got me stuck once or twice.

RE3 went pretty smooth for me...the only part that got me stuck was when you had to find all the parts for the rail car
