I'll reserve full judgement until its complete, but i will say it has some of the coolest looking enemies in a while. I'm not sure i'd say they're scary but Afflicted are definitely unnerveing and interesting. What do you guys think? do they stand up along side Ganados, Majini, Zombies and Ooze?.

Been playing Raid Mode last night, fun and addictive as hell. I didn't have this much fun on an extra mode since RE4

Does Jill play like she did in the first RER? How's the melee?
Haven't unlocked Jill yet. The prefer this melee mechanic over the ORC and RE6 pathetic one, since you can see the health bar of the enemies in raid mode is basically shoot until they have less than a quarter of their health and then finish with a melee

The melee is fantastic in this game IMO. It is like the traditional stun them and then pop them like re4, 5 and Revelations. It doesn't have the charge that you get in Revelations, however through the skill sets you can add that too if you desire.

I have Jill and she is awesome . When a enemy is on the ground & you never them, you do an impale, but Jill does a double knee drop instead . And he regular melee move is same as RER

Ah, the double knee drop. I see she retained it from RE5.

Ok guys, I played the episode last night, this is what I have to say about it:
Spoiler:
Definitely I think Neil is a traitor and the key to this mess, he acts mysteriously and appears just to give you a hand then dissapears and I can assure you he is the one that takes Natalia away at the end of Claire's part. The plot keeps building up, I really hope the pay off will be worthy.......btw, fuck invisible enemies oh and btw: the identity of the woman is unveiled in this episode.

I've still only booted up this game, not actually had a play through of it. The PC port is really buggy, it is plagued with micro lag and skips every few seconds. I hate when your system is well above average and can't run such low intensity games Poorly ported to the PC I think, however I did notice a patched downloaded on steam a few days back so maybe the is running better now. I was going to do a blind lets play on the game but a really want to give it a try now, so screw it, I will just do a lets play on Hard mode or something because I cannot sit around and not play it for another day haha!
@Ssplain - How you finding it man ? Is it running okay for you ?

It is running fine for me on all high settings at 60fps, no lag or bugs at all even while streaming. Ironically enough I have several friends running the game with specs similar to mine who are having game breaking lag spikes. As for the gameplay I am loving it. One of the best feeling games in the series to date. They have gotten a lot right so far.
And yes greenblue, raid mode is amazing! Far more RPG elements involved than in previous titles. Also there is a Mercenaries mode (that goes by a different name) That is unlockable through points earned in the campaign. It isn't called Mercs but says "Earn points for killing enemies within the time limit while hunting hours glasses to extend your time" or something close to that. Haven't tried that mode yet though. Either way we are only on Episode 2 and this game has loads of replayability.

Thanks for the reply, I ended up catching up with you steam.
@Greenblue - I am also playing Raid. I never played the original Revelations Raid mode, but I have to say RER2's Raid mode is amazing. Such much replay value (as you have across the multiple characters and difficulty modes), it is also addictive as hell. I'm fairly flying through it and if the game is only at episode 1, I'm excited to see what is in store for us across the whole series. Probably not much more online wise (maybe add a few things, maps or something) but yeah, it will good to find out what else is in store.

Yes, but fortunately it abbreviates to EPFKEWTTLWHHGTEYT.
lol kidding. That was the description for the mode, I forget what it was called. You can unlock a new stage for each episode, also you can unlock invisible enemy mode for each episode.

I'm really interested in trying this, I love REmakes invisible enemy mode. I know Revelations 2 will be so hard to beat on this though because AI follows, moves around and is unpredictable (well to a certain degree) With REmake you could learn enemy placement and you knew the enemies would only move towards you, so it made it a little easier. I wonder if it will be truly invisible or will there be like a slight shimmer when they get close so at least you can kind of see them.

I think you can locate them by either shining Moira's light on them or by detecting them with Natalia, but to Claire and Barry they are entirely invisible. I have heard you can also detect them by throwing a smoke bomb on them (seems pointless if you can't see them to begin with though lol)

Ah! That sounds not bad then I suppose. Just seems like it will take a little thinking through to achieve. I would be down with that mode, sounds like fun. It would be better if you could get co-op though, a partner to help you through the mode would be sweet. Supposedly they are adding this mode in or where planing on adding it in when the last episode has been released. This could just be speculations though, however there is a modder modifying a co-op into PC version, it's looking good and working just now, but it needs more time to be completely, so that will be good when that gets a release.

I am surprised how much I enjoy the stealth kills in this game. It is nice to have an alternative to a shoot out and the re6 style of melee. The stealth kill animation looks really nice.

Played episode 2 last night. Shit got real
Spoiler:
well, Neil is finally discovered as the traitor, that boss fight seemed a lot harder than what it actually was. Finally Moira's trauma is revealed and dealt with. Barry's part was kinda hard, too many enemies that you are supposed to just get past them, and some escort missions staples that remind me of sherry, can't wait for the final chapter.

How are the episodes so far? I have seen some gameplay and they all seem short as hell so I am kind of wondering the worth of the actual whole campaign once it comes out
