- Easiest game for knife-only would be Code Veronica, seeing how easy the game and how strong the knife is in that game.
I cant picture fighting most of those bosses with only the knife. Code Veronica had some really tough bosses. The only boss that's a problem is the final Alexia form. Tyrant is easy with knife. As long as you have about 2 first aid sprays, anyone could do it easily. First alexia form might take some practise, but it's really do-able. How about a no herb-no-die-only-knife-playthrough? :0 Possible, but it requires a very skilled player. I can't do that . yeah I would see it being possible but if a person done that he would instantly be a world record holder. Even the world record holders in Resident Evil for speedrun's and knife runs still use at least 1-2 herbs or more on each run. You would literally need to know the game inside and out and it would probably take you ages to complete as you would need to knife and dodge/run and repeat that process over and over. I can't fathom doing this in RE:CV lol |

I believe other ways it was more difficult were like how he doesn't have a lockpick, so you have to get those little old keys for mandatory doors. And yes, he doesn't really get help, like Jill does with Barry. If anything, he has to help Rebecca. *Thumbs up* Oh, and I did the knife-only run in REmake, with Chris. It's not impossible, you simply have to run around most enemies. But believe me when I say that Plant 42 was a bitch. |

I think, though, people sometimes exaggerate the overall effect of those, admittely very numerous, little aspects. Looking at it sobberly, they are really just a tiny complication: the old key for the Researcher's Office (the one with the bee and the wind crest) is conveniently placed in the Little Sleeping Room almost next to it. The old key for the Fenced Terrace (the one with the chemical) is in the tub in the bathroom nearby. Another old key is on the table in the save room by the East Stairs. The only two keys you don't get handed on a silver plate by the game are the one in the kitchen and, in the itchy-tasty Keeper's Room – a room, however, you will come by more than once anyway, where you can let yourself be gratuitiously biten once or twice because them zombies won't leave the room if kept alive, and where don't ever have to return to. And Chris has significant advantages, too: he has a lot more stamina [...], and unlike Jill's taser, which is basically only a dagger with enhanced light and sound effects, Chris' grenades definitely kill a zombie for good, which not only prevents him from coming back as a Crimson Head (they even work on the Crimson Elder and Hunters), but also saves significant amounts of ammo. - DeadlyGenetics wrote:

Yes, you do. What's with them enemies? |

True, the grenades are pretty boss, and are certainly the most fun to use, of all the self-defense items. But there was a time that I played on Chris' file, and I got into a sticky situation where I couldn't open doors that I needed to get into, because I couldn't find the old key that I needed. I spent hours looking in every room in that damn mansion, and came up with dick. So I totally had to start that run all over. Of course that next time I didn't have as much trouble, but yeah. The lack of item spaces is a pain in the butt too. JS - DeadlyGenetics wrote:

Apart from the dick, you mean? But yeah, that is the one aspect that makes it harder with Chris (that's what she said). Oh, off-topic question: does this forum have a Tips/Tricks/Walkthrough section? |
