That doesn't have to change. He could be a Protagonist. HUNK basically is our Master Chief 117.

Just give HUNK the energy sword and a BR and throw a bunch of Flood at him.

Claire. When I write that scenario I mentioned, I think it will star Claire mostly. So yeah, Claire for me for the next RE game, please. And really, most characters are fine if they aren't called Leon or Ada.

Maybe we will get a game with Claire as the protoganist and Hunk as some form of antogonist. At the moment they seem to be the favorites, that is unless the 2 "others" are for the same character.

And Shrike you should write that scenario this weekend so I will have something to read when I get back to work next week! =p

I must admit, I am a little shocked by that myself.

I would probably like to see Barry again in the story. But I think he is one of those characters that only works in supporting or cameo roles, like in RE1 and RE3. It could be a mistake to give him a full Protagonist Staring spot.

It would be cool if him and Becca were a team though. Since they both had a cameo in Mercs Reunion and Mercs3D.

Otherwise my vote is still ultimately for Claire.

RE6 was in 2013/12. RE7 probably in 2014/15.

Claire would be cool, but it really doesn't matter much to me. If its Leon again, Chris or Jill that would be cool too. The others are mostly supporting characters like others had mentioned.

I'm thinking 2016 to celebrate 20 years. Then they could set the game to 2018 to celebrate the Raccoon City event's 20th anniversary. And, this could be a node to RE1's timeframe as well.

I was saying 2017 because 4-6 all took place around the time they were released, give or take a year, and they were released roughly 4 years apart. The point I was making is that Barry is getting a little old to be doing the things that happen in the new games.

I have a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired of a very long career.

I would not want Barry hunting me down.

Haha I was only kidding;) 

I do not see them using Barry for any more than a cameo unless the game takes place earlier in the series like Revelations did.

I understand and I am with you on that, I like how we know little about him...it really adds to his character in a way. But yeah a smaller role might be good though.

As for the poll Ive voted for Chris. Well first cs i am a fan of his and second reason is that he already is 40+ years old and he's getting older , thats why Im almost sure that there will be Chris in RE 7, he might not be main character, but 4 sure he will be playable and have his own story in the game (well pretty much just as in RE6)

Heh, I knew you are joking. But we didn't know seeing Barry in Resident Evil 7 is a good idea. He might appear right? I still hope so, just like Claire, and Rebecca.

I'm going to be me and go with STEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But he should have cameo if Claire is in it.

There's pretty much only one single thing we know about him apart from his job as the unstoppable USS operative and the fact that he trained on Rockfort (and is the mentor of Vector) and that is the name Bella, though I doubt we are getting anything else. Here's the file I'm referring to: [link]

Why not someone completely new? Just go off into a new direction. Resident Evil doesn't need to be stuck with it's past.

Because watching a seventh season of some TV show only to see the cast being completely new would make you pretty much disinterested and you would probably hate it because it has already established a lot. Besides, people love the characters that were already introduced. I am not saying that Resident Evil doesn't need something fresh, but if characters like Helena are those fresh characters that will be appearing, then they better give me to play as random infected citizen, because I would prefer that. So yeah, I'd much rather play with Jill then have very shallow and stupid new main character.

Also, the fact that RE isn't stuck in it's past is obviously a problem as seen in RE6. Just sayin'.

Oh, and I am really glad no one voted Leon. Goddamn I hate Leon. Less then Ada, sure, but still.
