That would have been interesting. I would have loved to see that since that universe is so grounded in reality, it could have been a huge plot twist.

I'm so happy they are making Man of Steel stay true to Superman. Like...I'm glad they aren't making Supes' powers com from...nanotechnology or some bullshit. He's a fucking Kryptonian! That's where his power comes from damnit! And the yellow sun...

It's really hard to go wrong with Superman though, he's possibly the most iconic superhero in comics, everyone and their grandma know the Superman story. They even had a radio show back in the days; that's where kryptonite was invented. When the actor needed a vacation they made someone in the office play Superman's weakened and raspy voice until the actor returned.
