[Trailers] Resident Evil 6 gets three new modes Empty

The new modes include:
  • Onslaught: Also known as "Competitive Mercenaries". The most interesting out of the three. You combo your kills and your friend, in his own playing field, gets that amount of enemies to fight against. The one who succumbs to the hordes first loses.
  • Predator: Basically the Tank mode from Left 4 Dead. One player plays as Ustanak and up to five players try to take him down.
  • Survivors: The Survivors mode makes a comeback from Resident Evil 5 but with a twist. Up to six players are pitted against each other in a map filled with enemies and the ones who die become BOWs. By killing another human player makes you return to life as your original character. Last man standing wins.

Very good! hopefully it will be ported for pc. RE survivors will actually detect who's the most kick ass RE player on the forum. smbdy could make then smthing like REforums hall of fame.

For the Ustanak one it actually looks like five people take down Ustanak, six people can play, one of them being the beast. They all actually look pretty fun.

Ohhh that. When you get knocked down, quickly tap A and you'll be able to land on your feet. But if you get hit by a rocket and you're body is flailing you'll just hit the ground.

If anyone is to get DLC first it should be the PS3, the original home of RE. Why give the Xbox exclusive stuff? did the same with some ORC DLC.

Onslaught looks like it would be the most fun, aside from the waiting both players will have to do. Assuming that's what you do when the other player is getting his/her combo.

Actually no, you both are playing in seperate stages killing enemies. After a combo, that amount of enemies is sent to your opponent and vice versa. So you both can rack up combos hoping that your combo will end up crushing your opponent before they can send in their hordes.


Btw. I just noticed, the Siege Mode that was teased a while back seems to have been replaced by the Onslaught. Good call in my opinion since I think this mode looks tons of fun compared to some dull VIP protection mission.

Predator mode looks the most appealing, IMO. Smashing newbs with Ustanak sounds like a great way to release some built up aggression Very Happy
Working with a team of people to take down Ustanak sounds equally enjoyable.


I'm a bit disappointed with Survivors mode. Controlling enemies is a pain in the ass. It's going to be nearly impossible to kill skilled players with a zombie or a dog. They should've just made it a simple deathmatch mode like re5 versus.

Isn't it still better to have a fighting chance to come back to the game instead of just losing outright? There still seems to be a timer so at least the matches won't end up in a stalemate.

Allowing players to respawn without having to go through agent mode would've been the better option.

The current system just sounds tedious.


EDIT

This DLC is only $9 dollars. Lower than I expected. I wonder if we'll have to pay for maps.
