Subject: Most badass game intros! Sun Sep 02, 2012 4:38 pm
So, what do you think is the most badass opening in any game, on any platform?
Here's my Top 5 in no particular order. I was trying to find all the best ones I know and ended up with a ton, most of them being PS1 driving games for some reason. After narrowing it down a LOT, these were the ones that stood out the most.
What ever happened to games having intros? They need to start using them more.

Oh, FFVIII... That intro brings back memories from the time when they still published my favorite gaming magazine. They had some pretty funny captions from that game. Think I still have those magazines in here somewhere.
Btw. Chrono Cross seriously needs a sequel. Gotta go and buy that DS version of Chrono Trigger when I actually have time to play it.

Here is a few I loved.
Epic, IMO far better than any Tekken intro's

Nice to see some of the classic horror games on people's lists. RE3 intro is also one of my favorites.
@Mcghie: That Snake Eater intro is really James Bond-ish! Almost straight comparable to the video Bio posted. by the way, Sonic CD is the only reason I ever would have wanted to have a Sega CD.
@Missy: Those bloody hallway in the Galerians intro remind me of Gray Fox from Metal Gear and Tetsuo from Akira.
Honestly, I can't believe how I have forgotten this but it's propably my favorite game intro to date.

Yeah Bio posting the james bond intro made MGS3 flash into my head, that's why I put it up because I loved the Bond style intro it had

I love this opening cuz it's very anime-ish. Yeah i like animes...so sue me.

I am a big fan of Galerians since it was released. I love this classic game and this is one of the best intro's of all times!

Well, to be honest, you could do that with any of that or previous era's consoles. It's just that I've never seen that kind of style being used anywhere.

This intro blew me away. Before this all I had was a Sega Genesis and to go from that to something like this almost made my head explode. Also, Ludacris is awesome.

@ChickenHeart: That's pretty cool, never knew Ludacris made a theme for... well, any game. Kinda reminds me of when Snoop Dogg made the theme for Gran Turismo 3.
