360 or ps3 what do i do

today i have to pick a console 360 0r ps3 so i ask you all, what should i do which should i chose

Depends on what you like better.

-If you prefer playing online with friends you might prefer the xbox360. The xbox has better communication, shooters, racing games and RPGs IMO. My fave exclusives: Halo 3, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey

-If you prefer playing singleplayer you might like the PS3 more. I prefer this console because of this. I like the exclusive games better, and there is a lot of cool stuff in the PS store. My fave exclusives: Uncharted 1 and 2, Journey, God of War 3

You can't go wrong with either though. They are kind of the same and most good games are multi-platform (and most of those games are exactly the same on both systems, unlike some fanboys might say).

yeah but if i stay with the 360 and it goes down in this big microsoft vs motorola fight then im skrewed and yeah i agree with everything your saying. i love all those games but its just are to chose one and stick with it i mean ps3 has better graphics and free online and everytime you buy a game it always comes with somthing the 360 doesnt

PS3 has better graphics? I don't see the difference between Resident Evil 5 on the PS3 vs. Resident Evil 5 on the 360.

And yes, a really crappy phone company stopping all production of Microsoft's Xbox 360 in the US sounds really realistic.

Only PS3 exclusives have better graphics. Multi-platform games look exactly the same.

Uncharted doesn't seem to be any better than Gears. Both of them are exclusive and I think they're on the same level. Pixel count these days are pointless, I can understand back then when consols had the bits in their name like the 32x and Nintendo 64, and even callde their systems "turbo graphic Mumbo jumbo," because they were so primitive, but honestly, the only system of this generation that was behind graphically was the Wii. Plus, if a game is fun why the hell would you even care about how it looks? Games like Minecraft and Scott Pilgrim prove that games don't have to have true HD graphics to be good.

I never said I cared about graphics. I don't think that there's any game from this gen in my top 10 favorite games. I also don't think that a game has to be in HD to look pretty, It's all about the art for me. HD for games is just as overrated as 3D IMO. Like I said in a different thread:

Other examples are Shadow of the Colossus, Twilight Princess, Ninja Gaiden Black, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Metroid Prime (2), Okami, REmake and Zero, FFX(II). The only difference I see is style and art.

PS3 everday of the week and twice on sundays. The only thing ill give the Xbox is the communication thing where you can talk to friends playing different games. Anybody who says xbox has better online are wrong. As long as your connection is fine then everything will be fine. Infact the Xbox actually signs out more often than the PS3. Its torture at times.

@Mercy: You can't really see it in pics, but after I played both games on a TV in HD, I can safely say that Uncharted looks better. It's not only more colorful (which I like), but also sharper.

Yeah, I played a whole library of PS3 and 360 games on a 50" 1080; they look the same dude. Any difference they have is very minimal.

Color is style and art by the way. Sharpness can be adjusted, you might have to set your 360 to 1080 if you're not getting the clarity you want.

Who cares about graphics anyway . That's not the reason to buy a console.

Xbox has not only better communication (everybody has a headset too, unlike in the PS3), but it's also just way more convenient to invite them, contact them, etc.

So they both have their pros and cons. If you don't care about playing with friends and if the exclusive games don't interest you, go for the PS3.

Im just saying that graphics shouldn't be a factor in your choice of a system. Atari came out with the first 64 bit consol while Nintendo and Sega were only at 16bits, and it tanked.

So in that aspect, you're absolutely right Thom: graphics aren't the reason to buy a consol. It's what I've been trying to say.

lolwut? It takes two button presses to invite my friend to play BF3 on PS3. And I'm sorry, but the dashboard on 360 is complete garbage. It reminds me of a table filled 3 feet deep with papers and junk and trying to find one single thing. It's god awful.

It's my opinion. For me it works better, but I guess it depends on the person.

Both good console, but I'm more on PS3 fan girl. So, I recommend you PS3 man

Same here. That's why I tried to be as fair and unbiased as possible in my first post.

Fanboys/girls are a disgrace to any fandom. I'm not a fangirl. Both systems has advantages and disadvantages. The PS3 just suits me better than 360 only because of free online and I grew up on Sony. I can care less about exclusives.

It really didn't matter what I got, my brothers made the choice to be honest, I was just happy to get something that wasn't the Wii.

I seriously love it when people say both consoles have advantages and disadvantages. How about we name them for both systems? Just lay them out. It will make my day.

I did it in my first post but I'm not going to start a console war here, because I hate that. No console is better. It's about preferences. You and I prefer the PS3, others the 360. Get over it.
