Like people already said, the books are not canon to the games. They follow a storyline of their own, although they are more true to the games than the movies.

I would like to see Chris and Rebecca work together again.

I remember conspiracy theorists saying she was secretly working for Umbrealla because she went through 0 and then she became a wimp in REmake and it was a coy trap.

I just think it was incosistent to be frank.

That's what they kinda did with Claire. It was nice of Capcom to put in those two in mercs 3D though.

I would think after going parting ways with Billy and then ending up at the Arklay Mansion and escaping with the remaining S.T.A.R.S members that she either joined Chris and Jill with the B.S.S.A or perhaps teamed up with Claire in Terra Save traveling around the world helping others who had suffered from the viral outbreak. I'm sure she's still alive and around about. Rebecca could also be behind the scenes trying to find a cure for all the viruses too. I mean with her expertise in that field it would hopefully give her an advantage against it.
