Whose Your Favourite..

So RE has had many different VA's for the "Resident Evil" announcer position over the years. Which is your fav?

I think the same guy did REmake, RE4 and RE5. I think, and if so, that's my choice, If you have a list of who did what, feel free to share, but otherwise I like that one most.

Yeah I agree. I think he did RE0 too. He sounds by far the creepiest.

Yeah, Resident Evil 0 was my first introduction to the game, and when he announced boldly "Resident Evil! Zero!" that itself scared me. But of course before that I was soft as cookie dough, and afterwards I was made of wood.

I think it can be ridiculous sometimes. He shouldn't have to say too much.

It should be short and sweet. Something simple. They really don't always need to say the entire title I mean. Just RE and the number.

Shut it marshmallow. Scoobie Doo on Zombie Island was my first zombie movie ever and it scared me as a kid. Even though they didn't actually tear the living flesh off of Shaggy and Velma, it was still terrifying.

But back to the point: I think the entire title should be spoke. The Announcer for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City leaves out the Operation Racoon City bit, and I feel like its really lacking cause Resident Evil: Revelations has the full title spoken, and it sounded perfect. I'm still satisfied every time I press start to play.

One things for sure, it doesn't need to do it EVERY time you play, only every time you start a New game.

It does it everytime you even load your game in RE0. I don't like that.

Maybe we can just appreciate it more, when we get it less, but it just makes more sense that way.

You press Start and it gives you options like, New Game, Load Game, Options, etc. When you select New Game it goes, "Resident Evil". When you select Load Game, it just takes you to the Mem Card screen for you to select your save file.

That's the way it should be. I know some games, like RE0 for instance, do it every time you even load your game. That's just too much.

In REmake it only says it when you start a new game. Same with RE4 too.

I dunno, I think it's cool when even on the load screen it says "Resident Evil" as long as it won't announce the whole title. It was the same with RE2.

It's still nice that it's different between games.

4 and the Original. Also, is Dead Aim the only game where he doesnt even say it at the start, even when starting a new game?

We don't need an abundance of, "Resident Evil" though. They are just forcing it all down on us when it should be a little more sparcely used.

the gamecube titles for RE0, remake, 2, 3, 4 and then 5 were spoken by the same guy

I don't think so. I distinctly remember RE3 and CVX's intros and they weren't at all like REmake or RE4 or RE5.

Dude! I have it on both Ps1 and GC. And I remember the GC version better than the Ps1 version, as that's the one I've played over a dozen times. Literally.

I wasn't saying that it didn't say the "3" in RE3, I was saying that it wasn't the same guy that voiced it in REmake and RE4 and all that.

Apparently the guy who made this thread.

It doesnt sound even close. RE3's I remember being almost inaudible, like you really had to listen to hear it. There was a sound effect playing along with it.

If you're so interested I could make a video compiling all the titles screen and finish this off
