Obama has embarked us on a road towards socialism with only a little (if any) capitalism. Say goodbye to the American Dream and say hello to the welfare state. How so? I don't see it. |

Obama's all big government, he wants to make America like Europe. All he cares about is his own power and making the American people dependent on the government. Just look at his Obamacare, pushes for gun control, tax increases, and the NDAA. |

Get off your high horse. Obamacare has some elements I disagree with, but at least some reform is beginning to take place in our crappy health system. And I can deal with tax increases. Our population needs to learn to live within its means. And taxing the rich doesn't really break my heart. When the top 1% own almost all of our nation's wealth (and China owns the rest ), I say tax away. But no matter what, I'm not going to go have a kid, lease a home, buy a 2012 car, and get my nails looking fabulous while working less than 40 hours at $8.50/hr. I will not sap the country's resources like a maniac. |

This is why we need a flat tax, everyone who can pays the same %. |

| Everyone made a big deal about unhealthy it was but it really had no more calories than say a whopper or big mac. The grilled version had like 490 calories or something like that. |

Welcome to the nanny state, where the government tells you what you can and cannot put in your body. Remember, the government knows how to live your life better than you do. Obedience is truth. Truth is happiness. Happiness is slavery. |

| My favorite was when the government banned "Caffeinated alcoholic drinks" because college kids were drinking too many and getting sick. You can still go to a bar and buy a jaeger-bomb or other drinks like it so it was kind of stupid if you think about it. |

Though I try to stay away from topics I am uneducated in, like economics. It would be nice if the poor were given basic healthcare through taxes, but it simply doesn't work. Lyndon B. Johnson tried that with the Great Society and it (along with Social Security) cost us trillions of dollars. Around half of our national debt is from these two failed social programs alone. Not to mention it would create dependency and give the federal government even more control over our lives. |

| Sometimes I really wish I understood politics better, but at least I have ya'll to bicker about it, and I thank you.
As for everything else....
@Methsia Being a Medic sounds like a hard thing to do, but if you got used to doing it... I bet you'd be an amazing one if that is what you went to do...
@Spike What else could I do? I can't want to be a cop and take an office job or take care of animals or work at U-Haul my whole life... If they don't let me be a cop being this Criminal, what have I got to lose? You and Jess? My parents? My free will? So? I need to do something to be of use to someone....
If I were to be in the Army, I'd probably disobey a lot if I went overseas and they tried to make me kill innocents... Like Leon from the Professional: "No women, no kids." And then just like Billy Coen who couldn't kill those people on the mission in Africa.... |

Um...I'm going to need to see proof of that. I find that very hard to believe. As for our current healthcare system, it needs change drastically. When 60% of personal bankruptcies ever year are caused by medical costs, AND 80% of those people had health insurance to begin with...yeah. That's bad. That's why I like some of Obama's health bill. Forcing us to have insurance? No good. But disallowing insurance companies to drop expensive clients or not allow someone in because of preexisting conditions? Very good. There should be a ceiling for how much someone would ever have to pay depending on income and they should not be allowed to be dropped. Also, illness that is caused by something the person has control over (I'm looking at you fatties of America), should either not be covered or be heavily taxed. Prevention should be the keyword in America. Right now, I am trying to exercise more, eat a lot healthier (and a lot less), and I'm cutting out things like pop, coffee, and energy drinks. If everyone in this country would just ease up a bit on the gluttony like I finally have, health costs would go wayyyy down anyway. I'm not fat by the way. |

| First of all, Nite, you double posted. ^_^
But still, if that shit happened like in RE0, I wouldn't do it. And if I got in trouble for it, I'd still know that I made the right choice. |

This is America, it's not like they're going to order you to start killing civilians left and right without good reason. |
