In my opinion one can't really grasp RE unless they've played one of the first ones, but that's just me. I feel like playing one now and am too lazy to fish out my old PS.

I took RE5 as a cinematic experience really, like a climax. Where the RE story led (bio weapons all over the world, terroristst) didnt really leave much room for more good survival horror, and Im learning to cope with that. RE5 was mucho more of a ´what happened to the characters after´ sort of game and not an addition to the RE franchise. Im weird, I know, but I still love RE5 and learned to treat it s something different, apart from the original formulas. But REmake is the best RE game ever, if you havent played it, you dont know what Resident evil is.

That's a nice way to look at it, sure, but wouldn't that still meant that it is an addition to the RE franchise. It's just weird to say otherwise.

I know its part of the franchise, but its sorta how I interpreted it. I know, Im weird like that. lol

well im not the biggest fan of Re4. 5 is ok...RE 2 is RE at its peak. for me

I have yet to beat CV, other than that I beat them all. (not including the spin offs)

What he said, although I don't mind the system. I have RE2 on PC, though the first time I ever saw the game was on the PS.

Well...yeah, those two are better played on gamecube, but you can't beat the nostalgia. Now that I think about it maybe Methsia is too young to feel nostalgic about playstation.
