| The former deputy prime minister and People's Action Party (PAP) chairman, Toh Chin Chye, passed away on February 3, 2012 at 9:30 AM in his sleep. Dr. Toh is considered a founding father and national hero of Singapore, being a co-founder of the People's Action Party and a strong supporter in the struggle of Singapore's independence from Malaysia. As well as being the deputy prime minister and PAP chairman, Dr. Toh also served as the Minister for Science and Technology, Minister for Health, Vice-Chancellor of the National University of Singapore, and as a MP representing the Rochor SMC constituency. Dr. Toh bravely fought against the communist faction within PAP, and was a key player in defeating the Socialist Front in the 1963 general election, in which Dr. Toy defeated the chairman of the Socialist Front, Lee Siew Choh, by only 89 votes. Singapore has truly lost a great leader today and a key figure in preventing Singapore from falling into the hands of the communists and socialists. May he rest in peace. http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_762613.html |

Not yet, I'm starting college later this year though. Though you got me, I will be majoring in political science. How did you know? |

| A brief question for the OP. I know this is a bit off topic, but it's kind of critical. I can't speak or read Chinese, so I was wondering what name exactly it is that we're supposed to refer to you as? |

It's supposed to be Japanese actually, but Google Translator lists it as Chinese and misinterprets it. You can just call me 'Phoenix Down.'

Oh, and how did this guy die? Yep, you guessed right again. And I couldn't find any information on how he died, however he was 90 years old and died in his sleep, so presumably natural causes. |
