New SEGA console?

I came across this video claiming that SEGA is working on a successor to the Dreamcast, to be released on 12/12/12. Just thought I'd share:

What do you think? Are SEGA planning a return to the hardware market? And would you want it to happen?

I want it. The dreamcast was an excellent console.

If this turns out to be real I'm gonna jizz my pants. Dreamcast was awesome.

I will most likely stay loyal to Sony but it'd be cool to have some more competition on the market.

Why would you stay loyal to one company. Just buy all consoles you like .

This won't happen. For one thing SEGA is basically a homeless person. They are poor as shit. They can't make good games anymore. They have fucked up every single Sonic game in the past billion years. They have no money. And it isn't like their owner (Nintendo) will help at all, because why would they want the competition? SEGA will release a new console the same time Atari does.

SEGA is not owned by nintendo or any other game company. SEGA is working on a console and they are also making ther own tablet. sega is changing ther brand name back to (SEGA enterprises) in 2012. SEGA enterprises is the brand name they use to make and sell home consoles. now the 12/12/12 is the persons own educated guess in the video by his own evidence but dont take that date seriously.

Okay, I'm not sure why I said Sega is owned by Nintendo when I knew full well Sonic 4 was being released on the PS3 and 360, so that is my bad. But everything else you are saying is based on speculation and rumor and is utter garbage. Show me a link that proves Sega is working on a new system or that they are even doing well financially. Sonic 4 helped, I am sure, but before that, every Sega game has been pure shit. And how do you know that they have more money now than when they released the Dreamcast? You don't. Are you their accountant? Do you know what it would take for a new company to come in with a new console and be successful right now? A goddamn miracle. Jesus Christ himself would have to release it and laden it with gold and diamonds and give it away for free! Stop talking out of your ass. Fanboy.

I think we all just have to concede the market to the current "Big 3", Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft. The world barely has enough room for just those three it seems. Personally, for another console manufacturer to enter the fray would take something like a huge leap from what we have now. Like an affordable virtual reality type of thing. Right now, franchises are just tied up. So even if a new manufacturer came up with an affordable console, who would buy it? Some would, sure, but the vast majority would not want to pay for a console that has game titles that are not already established. And no developer, unless indie, would release a new production on a game system that is not established. It is kind of a catch 22.
