| I have two questions about the RE2 versions out there...
first the important one, about the Ex files ( i think that's what they called them) In which Re2 versions do they appear? I know they appear in the N64 version, but I'd like to know if they appear in the gamecube or PC versions aswell
second, the least important one, which one have the better graphics?, logic points to the gamecube version, but the dreamcast version looks good too. what do you think? |

| I googled the ex files you talk about and while they're interesting i'm not buying them.
They say Billy is dead due to being mauled by unidentified wild animals. Not believing that when he was quite possibly the 'strongest' member of the 'good guys' in the series.
Not believable to me after playing RE0
Edit: after more reading Rebecca does kind of cover up his death like on RE0

that's pretty much all I know about the Ex files too. Rebecca informed that Billy died to cover him up. but actually I'm not too crazy about the ex files, I'd like to know if there are some other "extra" things in the non-psx Re2 versions aswell |

| The creators of RE will never bring Billy or Barry back so how will we ever know what happened to them? 2 real legit tough guys who did things others couldn't and will never make it back into the series is so bogus. I mean we always love the main 'people' but to neglect the supporting cast who make things great is the thing that pisses me off the most about Resident Evil. It should've been Rebecca in RE5 instead of Sheva. Edit: it's kind of like they tried to write Billy out of the series like Charlie Sheen |

| Resident Evil Wiki has listed the alterations between versions: http://residentevil.wikia.com/Resident_Evil_2#VersionsI can't say much for the graphics because I only have the PC version and it's been years since I saw the PS version. The PC version has quite decent graphics but it needs quite a lot of tweaking. I hear the N64 has better graphics than the PS version. The GC version has the best quality but is pretty much the same as the DualShock version on the PS. Just for the record, I would love to see Carlos and Ark make a return. Still, I'd like to see the characters you guys mentioned come back too.

Whothewhatnow?!? Wait... You hadn't played Survivor? Ark is the main character, a friend of Leon's. That game is officially canon so it's possible that we could see Ark again. I hope that guy in the shadows in Damnation trailer is Ark |

It was such an awesome feeling seeing the Sheena Island accident mentioned in the beginning of RE4. It was mentioned in the beginning of RE Zero too. Was it? But the thing happened after RE2. EDIT: No, wait, you're right. I confused the prologue from Zer0 to the opening of RE4. |

| Yeah, I already realized you were right. I confused the prologue from Zer0 to the opening of RE4. Apparently my brain doesn't work today. |

Noooo! Go play Survivor! I don't have survivor yet. I've found it used for €8, so I'll have it soon. Why have you never played RE zero? |

Why have you never played RE zero? Don't have GameCube/Wii. I've read the book and watched the opening so it's all good for me. |

| thank for the info, I own an ps2 and a wii (and a PC obviously) and since Re2 is my favourite game I wanted to know if the gamecube version had better graphics than the psx versions. I have both the original and the dualshock Re2 for the psx and the gameplay looks exactly the same to me.
just wondering, if you don't have a gamecube or a wii does this mean that you didn't play REmake?? |

I've only played the original. The only versions of the first game I own are Deadly Silence and Umbrella Conspiracy (the book). - PAULSAMSON wrote:

The GameCube version does have better quality but it's all the same as the DualShock version. If you have a N64 and the RE2 for that isn't too costy, I'd go for it. |

You can get a really cheap used gamecube and buy REmake and RE zero. It's really worth it, because especially REmake is a damn good game (my second favorite RE, I like it a little more then the original). |

| I always tend to search everything about things I'm interested in so I might sometimes seem like I've played all the games even though I haven't I'm content with what I have. |

| honestly, what's the point of putting the EX files on N64 and then take them off on gamecube?? |

I'm content with what I have. I have the same. If I for some reason can't play a main game in a series I love, I'll just watch a playthrough on youtube. - PAULSAMSON wrote:

Yeah, that's pretty stupid indeed. |
