| I found this on wiki. Pre-production July 5, 2008, Paul Anderson announced a fourth live action film is in early development stages and negotiations have begun with Sony. October 5, 2008 Paul Anderson stated in an interview with Sunday Sun, he may begin writing the script soon: "I'm writing an adaptation of The Long Good Friday right now, set in present-day Miami. Then I will probably begin writing Resident Evil 4." December 19 2008, director Paul W.S. Anderson told IGN that he is currently working on the script for the next Resident Evil film: ”Everyone at [game developer] Capcom has had their input into the idea and they're all very excited. I don't want to tell you what it is but it's very exciting." Anderson told the site. "The game is constantly [evolving] and so is the movie franchise. We're doing it very much in conjunction with the developers of the videogame to give the audience something fresh but something that fits within the world of the videogame." January 29 2009, Arrow in the Head News reported that Paul W.S. Anderson is nearly finished with the script for Resident Evil 4 and is currently on draft two. The article claims that Anderson is writing but will not direct. The story is more in tune with RE2 in terms of style but with better dialogue and a darker tone. There's enough hand to hand combat in the script for them to bring in a martial arts choreographer (most likely for a Alice vs Wesker fight). The story reportedly takes place in Tokyo and Alaska (with Toronto standing in for Alaska). Patrick Tatopoulos will return and be in charge of the creature effects while Michael Lantieri will be the new Special FX supervisor (in terms of the the practical effects). Casting will start before any more changes are made to the script and they plan on securing a director once Milla Jovovich officially signs on. |

| Hmm, interesting. The movies were pretty cool, though the live-action ones paled in comparison to Degeneration in my opinion. I don't think I'd like to see Wesker portrayed by a new actor though, like Jill, Claire etc. I don't mind Alice, except for the fact that she can somehow control the environment or whatever it is that she does in Extinction. |

I like the movies too. (Of course I like the games more, I love the games! lol) I agree, Degeneration was better! and it's actually a part of the game series. Yeah, I kind of want a different actor for Wesker too. It is pretty weird how Alice can do all that lol |

i found the movies good, if you like a good old fashioned zombie action film, but apart from the odd character and location, they were not very close to the games, mind you its always the same they make a good movie, the game sucks, they make a good game, the movie sucks, video games never seem to go together (eg mario, streetfighter, doom) |

I enjoy a good Star Wars game every once and a while, and those films used to be all the rage. I also loved the Quantum of Solace game, because it followed the story of both the Quantum of Solace movie, as well as Casino Royale, and even ended with a cliffhanger for the next game/ movie. |

Force Unleashed was okay, I think that it could have been better, but if you want some top notch Star Wars gaming, then play Jedi Kight II: Jedi Outcast, and Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. |

| Well thats going off-topic, isn't it? No. Anyway, I physically hate the live action movies. They aren't even Resident Evil. They're amateur crap fest zombie flicks with the name Resident Evil tacked on to sell copies. Think about it. They didn't even try with these movies! Why on God's green earth would they make movies based on a video game series and have the main character be some stupid chick who has never even been in a single one of the games??? And then, like they were putting the cherry on the crap cake, they had her do a nip slip. Kill me now. I agree that going off topic is not a welcome thing. I just think that the star wars reference was still close enough to the topic that it was ok. I mean it was just a comparison with the actual topic so I thought it was justified. In other words, it tied in well with the topic. But then again I'm not a moderator, and you are just doing your duty. Topic Edit By Down No double posting please read RULES |

Board name is RE Related, not Star wars related
And if we started talking about RE, than stay on RE, read rules... Do not go off-topic, we have board for that i wasnt going off topic, i was saying how games and movies dont always go together and the other poster said how he liked one particular game based on a movie, christ sake frodo, you are really getting on my tits with keep telling everyone off , everyones getting fed up of it, and not just me, thats the reason alot of people dont post much now is because you moan or quote rules at every f**kin post, this is a forum and things do wander a little of topic, have you checked other forums |

Depends what you take as a movie... Some people say that Degeneration is not movie, they say its cartoon... Its movie IMO |

| Ouch, Chuck! A little harsh! Not the biggest fan of the live action films, but I can say that I've been to see every one of them in the theatre upon release...so I'll probably go to see this one unless it looks like it's going to be a complete turd. Time will tell. |
