| Im watching Resident Evil Afterlife right now, and i was thinking, If i were one of those dudes, id fly back to alaska with another person, pick up a helicopter and a bigger plane, load the plane with loads of fuel..land it 100miles from BC, fuel the helicopter back up, then pickup the rest of the people..refuel, then leave... and to combat that huge monster, id makeshift a canon, use the oxy fuel (the same gas they used for the cutting torch to open the door for that armored truck) for propellant and shoot a projectile at the monster trying to break down the gates and leave a huge holes piece by piece in that monsters head.. btw heres the movie http://www.megavideo.com/?v=BP9RA643 |

| It's on megavideo already? Is that the 3D version and regardless, how's the quality?
Well, not that I'm going to watch it there anyway. I hate it that you can only watch 70 minutes at a time without a membership. Besides, since I can get a free copy of the DVD anyway, I'll have something to add to my collection. I'll be checking back on that part you're talking about once I see the movie. |

| I'll just go for the free DVD. That 50 minute waiting already drove me crazy while I was watching A Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Fortunately I found another site for it quickly to see the ending. |

| What huge monster? The executioner? He's not hard to take down. Just use bullets. Or...quarters...And what is BC? And what people are you talking about rescuing? |

| The only Resident Evil movies I actually enjoyed were Resident Evil and Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Apart from that, Extinction and Afterlife are just average action movies to me, not true to Resident Evil though. Afterlife had its moments but I'm too stubborn to 'enjoy' it... My bad guys! |

By the way, did you notice how when she shot him with the quarters, they almost seemed to come out of his neck where his head used to be? I know Anderson likes his overthetop action, and so do I, but even I found that in bad taste. |

Oh, apparently the executioner is just a pinotta filled with quarters. |

Oh, apparently the executioner is just a pinotta filled with quarters. Yeah, the entire zombie outbreak was just taken out of context, they were only there for a fiesta. |

| Ok. Just watched the movie and what can I say...
It was a really REALLY average zombie movie with a LOT of clichés. The stuff related to RE seemed out of place and kinda just plastered all over the movie just to get the RE name for it. I hated Extinction but my god it still had some kind of a coherent plot! The only thing I liked about the movie was the Executioner battle and even that was just ok. The only thing why the movies still carry the Resident Evil title is because they keep using the licensed stuff. Change the names of the characters and BAM you got just another zombie movie. Wesker didn't know who Chris was, Chris was Wentworth (I like him in Prison Break, now he just didn't belong), Wesker's supposed end was just stupid, the movie actually looked bad because they overused the effects (when the roof exploded I thought that I've seen more realistic explosions in NES games), some incoherent stuff and last but not least, the evil takes no residence in these movies anymore.
Oh, and one more thing I liked: Alice lost her super powers and at least most of the clones are dead.
The only thing the movie made me want to see was, not another crappy movie, but a RE game set in Japan (hence the opening). I can't believe there's still gonna be at least two of these...
I want an Umbrella umbrella. |

| It seems like Anderson run out of ideas and just used whatever was at hand: Resident Evil licensed characters, ninjas, Matrix scenes, zombie movie formula, overused effects and a bad screenplay. Urgh... And man, was everything made with computer! Death Race had way more effort in the stuff made for the movie (the cars, the location etc.) and it seems like he is making the RE movies just for the money. The movies never got enough love put into them...
The movie didn't even have any character development! Chris was never properly introduced and Alice actually went backwards (which still was a good thing) and so did Claire (with all the memory loss).
I'm actually more afraid of seeing what will came of the next movies than getting shot. |
