| Alright guys and girls. Wanted to see what peoples views were on how the resident evil games differ to the films. Who prefers watching the films to playing the games and reasons behind it. |

| i like the films but i felt they could have followed the plot of the games alot closer, i mean nemesis, at the end he turns out to be a good guy, i prefered it when he was bad ass!! |

| Films don't follow games... They just have few characters like Nemesis... But in game Nemesis wasn't really friend of anybody, its just project... But in films he had life, and somehow he changed his mind! If they injected virus that will control his brain that wouldn't happen... But they did... That's why this film is a bit stupid... Compared to games and their story which is original and untouchable... |

| movies based off of games almost always turn out to be horrible...Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Doom are perfect examples |

That is the first thought that popped into my head too. I don't think that the movies were terrible, if you want to sit there & compare to them to the games, then you will just be dissapointed, but once you get over the fact that the movies are not in the same universe as the games, then they can be enjoyable, especially the 1st one. |

| There should be a middle option on the poll, because I enjoy both quite well. |

What I don't want in an RE movie is one of the game plots all over again. And Doom wasn't that bad...watching the movie did inspire me to play the actual game, otherwise I'd have never touched it. Same could be said for the RE movies. If they inspire people to pick up the games and play them, have they not had a positive effect? |

Of course that doesn't fit, but if you compare game story quality and movies... Fits well |

I agree about Doom, I had neve played it, and still haven't played much of it, but the movie from the point of view of a person who is a movie critic, it wasn't that bad, when the people that have played the games watch it, they just see how it isn't like the game that they loved. |

The movie plot wasn't all that bad, either. YA IT IS!
I dont like lots of stuff about it... ANd the stupidest one is that nemesis remembered his past life at end... He is bloody brain washed super mutated zombie... Not... Human lol Not that bad, the first one was actually pretty good, alot of stuff from the 1st one was really good. I think that the score and even the acting was good in the 1st movie, despite it not being 'true' RE. Well, I have disagree with the movies not being "true RE". They stuck closer to RE than even RE4 and 5 did.
Besides, a word-for-word adaption of a game would have been pretty boring and not worth watching to someone who's played them all and played them all again. That is what Paul W. S. Anderson had in mind when he made the first movie, he said that it wouldn't be any good to watch something that we all knew what was going to happen and all of that, but he took it in a different direction. The movies didn't stick closer to RE than RE4 & RE5, we haven't even seen the final product of RE5, but knowing RE4 it was much more like 'true' RE. |

It seems a lot of people aren't excited about where RE4 went and where RE5 is going. Personally, I think that all the side-stories, say, will be rounded off in a spectacular finale, kind of like a firework show. That's what I'm hoping for anyway. P.S. I thought the movies were pretty cool, but the thing I didn't like was... - Spoiler:
The guy turning into a tyrant at the end of Extinction.

| That Tyrant thing in Extinction was pretty lame I think, it could have been alot better seeing a Tyrant in a movie for the first time but...... |
