| You know, that first person horror RE might not be so far fetched after all. I found an interview where Yoshiaki Hirabayashi and Michiteru Okabe discussed different ways of getting horror back to RE and one of the points of discussion was a first person view, possibly via a VR headset. I was supposed to write the rest here too but thought it deserves a thread of its own. You can watch the interview there: http://www.residentevilforums.net/t5337-the-future-of-resident-evil - AWDCP wrote:

Oh yeah. Wonder what that thread was named. |

No, the guys behind the SOCOM series was Zipper Interactive, who outsourced the development of Confrontation to Slant Six. |

You know what... I'd be okay with it if it was made like Silent Hill: Book of Memories. We haven't had an RE game like that in a while. |

| Obviously "My Own Licker", "Love Me Tyrant", and "Eat That Ooze" are perfectly self explanatory and viable spin-offs to the Resident Evil series. |

| "Love Me Tyrant"... Why am I seeing a romantic visual novel where all the guys you could date are the various tyrants from the games.
I would totally play that. |

| Getting back on topic how about a strategy game?, your job is to spread the virus and grow your horde. Earning "infection points" to buy more powerful B.O.W.s and virus upgrades/modifiers.
Eventually becoming strong enough to over run the BSAA's defences, kinda like Plague Inc. Only on a smaller Command & Conquer style map, with actual animation. It world be a nice chance to get your inner Wesker on and try to take over the world as Neo-Umbrella. |

Well, maybe if you want an App Store App that is just like every other strategy game out there as of right now. |

| I personally wouldn't mind seeing the card game made as a downloadable game with online multiplayer. I have never gotten to play the physical version of the game and I can always sink some time into multiplayer card games.
I can't say it would be a success, but selfishly it is something I would like to see :p |

| If they make a spin off series, they must try to make it Revelations style good. Ain't nothing worse than poor knock offs of a classic series. |

The Survivor and Revelations series are both canon. I don't think Outbreak is officially, but it does explain somethings that are. |

Unfortunately it contradicts events as told in the main series (specifically the details surrounding RC's destruction), and so therefor its canon must be questioned. |

I can't say it would be a success, but selfishly it is something I would like to see :p Have you played Deadman's Cross? It's a zombie card game and a free-to-play title. Don't worry, it's not a money grab as like they usually are. It even has some official crossover campaigns with Resident Evil so you can get some of the games' characters as cards in there. I have an Orthrus myself. |

It's a mobile game from Square Enix so you'll most likely find it in the marketplace for you phone/tablet of choice. There's also an android based program called http://www.bluestacks.com/ that allows you to play android games on PC, if mobile is not an option. |

| Revisiting this topic now that the classics are being remade. I think it would be interesting (interesting, not in the slightest likely) to see a spin-off series made with the same engine and style as the remasters we have been getting. They would be completely original stories of course.
Preferable the titles would use lesser known characters and follow them on solo adventures. |
