| Every few years we have a new series of spin off games for the RE series. There was the Survivor gun series, Outbreak Series, Chronicles series and most recently the Revelations series. While being spin offs these games still fall into the chronology for the most part. Most noticeably each has tried out a new type of game play.
1.Survivor - An off rails light gun shooter series. 2.Outbreak - A series that was grounded in traditional style, yet featured 4 player coop. 3.Chronicles- An on rails arcade style shooter that mostly explored previous games. 4.Revelations- The most recent spin off that plays traditional to modern games, but with a larger focus on survival horror.
An idea I had for what could make an interesting spin off in the future would be to put out a first person series ex: Amnesia or Outlast. Make it a series that explores lesser explored characters of the past in a non traditional way. Like what if we played a game as George Trevor when he first arrived at the Spencer Estate up until the point where he died trying to escape after learning what was really going on. You could explore the mansion and beyond in first person before the Outbreak and learn more about the history of the Trevor family and everything that went on with them. Basically an exploration, puzzle solving, survivor game that is enriched with lore from the series.
What about everyone else? What would you like to see out of future spin off series? |

| If Capcom ever made a spioff with George Trevor, I think they'll make him into duel gun wielding master that can do Karate chop action.
Okay Okay, What I would like to see in a spin off? Returning characters that are left in the dreaded void of 1998 like Billy Coen, Rebecca Chambers, Hunk, Nicholai, hell, i'll even take Bruce from the survivors series. One of them is the main character trying to survive...whatever and actually focus more on the horror and cleverly made puzzles. The only thing I don't want are the controls of RE6 and QTE >< |

| I would like to add being episodic to the new things tried out in Revelations What I would like to see added to the series? I can't think of anything new but that modern style first person horror narrative with George Trevor sounds pretty badass. What I would like to see the most, though, is the merger of two spinoffs made for each other. I want to see Survivor Chronicles. Going through Sheena Island and Spencer Rain with upgraded visuals would be mind blowing. They could even use scraps from the previous Chronicles games to make a trippy extra mission out of Claire's dream from Survivor 2. Just add an original chapter with Ark and Bruce in the current day and I'd be in heaven. I wouldn't mind seeing a Gaiden sequel, either. I know, I'm weird. |

I suppose I am weird too, I was more engaged playing Gaiden than I ever was in RE6. Gaiden really nailed the survival aspect for a Gameboy game IMO. |

| I especially like Gaiden because it reminds me a lot of Sweet Home. I wish they'd try going back to that style at least one more time. I liked Confidential Report and all but the gameplay of that was nothing compared to Gaiden. |

| Oh I have not played Confidential Report! I am working on beating every game in the series, so I suppose I need to take that one on :p.
Do you know of any emulation sites that offer it? I normally don't do emulators but I imagine that is one of the only ways to play that title these days? |

I don't know if there even are any programs that emulate mobile phones. You could try downloading it off of somewhere to your phone. That's what I did. I can't link to any download site though, we don't promote illegal downloads. |

The fact that I honestly forgot to mention that game at all shows where it stands with me LOL It was indeed a spin off that took a different direction. I am sure some people enjoyed it out there.. somewhere.. maybe. |

I liked that you could get infected. But there was a lot I didn't like. It royally irked me when the special force girl killed that licker easy as pie. How did she know how it would attack her or that a knife to the chest would even harm it, much less kill it. Why wasn't she afraid at all? Why would they not shoot it instead? It is as if her only job in life was killing lickers she made it look so easy, but yet they have never seen a licker before have they? If they had and I missed that please let me know :p. But it was indeed a new spin on things. Would you like to see another Operations Game? Maybe playing as Wesker's group on Rockford would work.

| Since the game isn't fully canon I don't mind such discrepancies. That's still a lot more legit complaint than a lot of people have, though.
I honestly would like to see a new Operation, maybe just this time give us the full game on purchase. That is honestly my main complaint with the game, I almost literally had to buy it twice.
There were rumors about a title called Operation Terrestial Fear about a year back buuut since we haven't heard from it ever since I doubt they were true. I definitely would've liked to see what such a title would've entailed. |

| I honestly did not play anything but the original release. The game did not cater to me much because I am not huge on online play.
I just looked up Operational Terrestrial Fear and some people were speculating that it would take place during the events of CV since HUNK was there while others were saying it would be a continuation in Raccoon City. If it did turn out to be real, I would play it at least once because, Resident Evil. |

| ORC was a good idea and was made by the guys behind the great S.O.C.O.M. series. It just needed a little more time to develop, they should definitely give it a second look.
As for a new spin off, how about a game where you actually have to survive?. I'm talking finding food, water, medical supplies, a safe place to sleep. Since you wouldn't be able to just go forever and would have to rest some time. Managing all this stuff wouldn't be for everyone, but it would be different.
As for combat you'd be very limited, mostly running and hiding from infected. Fighting would only be a last resort, and very defensive focused. |

| That would most certainly be something new for the series!
Would it be survive as long as you can or survive while completing a story? |

| Hows about a new outbreak game? That doesn't sound like a bad idea to me. |

| There are actually a lot of people in favor of a new Outbreak game (and viable online play for the old ones). Online game play is so much more mainstream now. They would most likely try to revamp the game play style though, to match modern titles. But who knows! |

| Ohhh you are probably right, as long as they don't turn it into a COD clone then it'll be fine |

| I think ORC is the closest we'll ever get to a new Outbreak, honestly. - Ssplain wrote:

There never was another release. I mean the fact that you had to buy half the game as DLC that cost like 40 bucks in all. I essentially bought the game twice. I honestly wish there had been a complete edition released. |

I'd think survive while completing a story, and if you want multi-player. How about a zombie MMO? that would be very different!. you could like customize your survivor's look, stats, hideout, car, etc. |
