Boy, is Mass gonna be happy about this, My close personal bff ThomVD just linked me to this awesome news, Resident EVil Remake hd edtion will come out for PS3, PS4, 360 and Xbone

No news for RE0 yet, but if this happens it will make the awesome mark of having all the console RE games playable on a fully backwards PS3, making it the best thing ever.

I really want to know retail price on this. Seeing as the game is over 10 years old, I'd like to know I'm not going to be spending $30 on it.

I think it will be digital only in the west sadly, but I'm not sure about the price. I saw 3990 Yen mentioned somewhere, but that would mean it would cost almost $40, which I don't believe.

Yeah, 3990 yen is around $40. Wow. That's really pushing it, Capcom.

And I don't mind that it's digital here, I suppose that means I could get it for a cheaper price, though I would prefer to have a disc.

Maybe they'll bundle it with RE0, all of the RE ports for the last years where in pairs, RE archives, Re hd collection and Chronicles hd Collection

I don't really mind digital only either, because I already have the gamecube version on disc. If I didn't, I would be more bothered.

And $40 is really ridiculous for one 12 year old game. If it wasn't one of my all time favorite games, I would think twice about getting it (again). Now if they'd include RE0, the price would be a bit more acceptable (still pricey though).

I think we'd all like it to be bundled with RE0, that'd be like $20 a game, and they did get away with selling Code Veronica for $20 digitally on Xbox live. I still thought it was steep, but at least it wasn't $40.

I'm very, very excited for this. But something puzzles me: No Wii U version? I mean, I'm not going to get it for the Wii U because I'm an achievement/trophy whore, but wouldn't it make sense for a Nintendo exclusive title to at least become available for another Nintendo console when rerereleased? Think Revelations.

Oh, if I wasn't clear enough, I think the Wii U can take it's specs, absolutely. I just don't think Capcom wants to put their money on Nintendo.

Maybe because it's already playable on the Wii U. I mean, there's a Wii version. Wii U is backwards compatible. It is not playable on any microsoft or sony console.

Makes sense, although they made a Wii version even though there was a Gamecube version and the wii was backwards compatible too

That was kind of useless yeah. Also, what is it with games that nintendo has/had the rights for, coming to sony and microsoft consoles? First the chronicles, now REmake.

Also, you know what I would REALLY appreciate in the HD port? An option to turn off the "one dangerous zombie" mode.

Capcom are a bunch of f#%k ups. They've been detached from the player community for years, which is they are going through money problems right now. This HD release is nothing more than a quick/cheap cash grab. Like Vandal said, I'm interested in finding out how much this decade old game is going to cost us. Porting with re0 would be a great move, unfortunately Capcom isn't known for making great moves so we'll see what happens.

Nonetheless, I'm excited! I've been waiting to play this game for years!
