| Does anyone feel that RE5 was more of a continuity of RE4 and recycling of previous games? The plagas, the lickers, Ndesu? I was hoping that Uroborus would have infected the Majini, not the plagas. This would have added an interesting new dimension to the series. I felt a little cheated by all the old enemies coming back. |

| Isn't that basically what all RE games before that did? I mean, RE1, just like RE1, had zombies, crows, giant spiders and cerberi in it. Then RE3 came along and had another type of Hunter in addition to those. Then came Code: Veronica that had Gulp Worm (kind of like RE3's Gravedigger) and giant moths, like the one in RE2.
What I'm getting at here is that the rehashing of enemies isn't anything new in this series. RE4 propably innovated the most and even it had another type of infected dogs in it. |

There were 5 years between 4 and 5. That's all I'm gonna say of this matter, we've been through this 1000 times in this forums, especially cause the prior admins were RE 4 haters |

4 years and that still doesn't change the fact that the enemies have always been similar to each other over the games. By the time of RE6 and RER we were back to zombies and hunters. Between RE4 and 5 we had Umbrella's End which, surprise surprise, featured zombies again. Let's face it, the enemy variety doesn't change a whole lot apart from the few special enemies created for each game. |

| That's actually a pretty common complaint I've seen about RE5. I don't think it's entirely a bad thing as it's nice to see some old enemies return and gives it better continuity. I mean, so many people wanted zombies back despite them being one of the most overdone monsters around at this point. I do feel that some things were a bit too formulaic though, like the chainsaw enemy and the new El Gigante. They would've been better as one offs.
