Resident Evil 7 storyline rumour (warning potental spoilers)!

A few days I came across a forum discussion on the internet in regards to resident evil 7 but sadly today I cannot find the topic or website   



Luckily though I can remember some of what was said in the thread.  The person posting the topic apparently got this leaked info about the plot of RE7 from somewhere I think?  I will try and find the article again and see if I can post all of it.



The game WILL feature Albert Wesker but he will only make a very brief appearance (flashback in Jill's head)

In the game you separate into teams jill Valentine/leon kennedy and Barry teams up with somebody (can't remember who it is though?

Barry Burton WILL be in the game

Resident Evil 7 will partly take place on the grounds of the mansion in racoon city

The game should be released before the end of 2014

It will be designed for next gen consoles such as xbox one and ps4




So what do you think does this sound legit or is it a hoax?

Internet forum rumors are about as credible as claims of Elvis being alive and well on Venus.

I don't see what's so unbelievable about the idea that Capcom might put Jill and Leon in the same place at the same time, though.

The guy who did the thread I think mentioned RE7 was under development before RE6 came out and I think Capcom want to release RE7 as soon as possible to make up for the fact that RE6 did not do as good as expected.

Urrgghh, the thought of Jill teaming up with Leon makes my stomach hurt. Really, the thought of seeing Leon again makes my stomach hurt. I'm tired of Leon!

Jill and the potential of Claire, Barry and/or Rebecca being making a apperance is the only reason I have a interest in RE7.

It could all be true, but I will wait until I see valid sources before I believe it.

The whole return to Raccoon City thing? Hoax unless it's in a flashback. Release date in 2014? I don't think so. If anything, the next RE game probably won't be out until 2015 or 2016 mostly due to that 20th anniversary thing. Everything else sounds plausible, but Barry returning is quite slim.

To be honest it could me true or not. I dont know what to expect out of the resident evil games nowadays.

It would be nice if you could actually post a credible source other than saying that you saw some guy on a forum talking about Resident Evil 7. Are you certain you didn't find one of your own outrageous posts? I'm pretty sure that's what happened. You're the only person who thinks Wesker would come back in Raccoon City with a Jill and Leon team up with the help of Barry.

Smells like a hoax. I simply fail to see what the appeal would be except as a poor mans substitution for the RE make. A flashback level is one thing, I would like that, but I would not like half the game being placed in the mansion. Barry will hopefully return, as long as they won't mess up his character too bad. Same goes with Wesker, as he is my favorite villain of the series, and I simply cannot get enough Wesker cutscenes.

If the only source is some dude on a forum, I can already call it a hoax. If it has not been mentioned by any reliable source/website and since I seem to be unable to find any rumors of it online aside from possible announcement dates, it does not hold water.

Jamesy, are you sure you didn't come up with this rumor yourself? You once made a thread about coming back to Raccoon City. That place probably won't be developed again for 100+ years and that's a big IF.

That's what I've been saying. It sounds too Jamesy to be anyone else spreading these rumors.

I wouldn't be too surprised if some dude on a random forum came up with this. I think Jamesy just picked it up because of the possibility of a return to Raccoon. Which is still highly unlikely, I might add.
