ORC favorite character?favorite team?

I had no problems with him and his over the top opinions, but after all that racial abuse stuff, fuck him he deserves the banhammer.

Oh that's why he got banned, I hate it when I miss out on stuff like this.

Lupo (assault) is my favourite whenever I play campaign.
For Versus I usually go as surveillance, threat scanner really shines there imo.

If I had to choose top 4 to form a team I would take assault, surveillance, medic and field scientist. Im getting sick of Vector running in front line on professional, I always end up killing him myself.. :/

@Mass, the entire city that we see in ORC just looked futuristic. This isnt some Steven Spielberg movie.

Even the very beginning, when you first start, it doesnt look right.

You can try to justify the cloak anyway yiu want, but it still just out of place. I like the UBCS we encounter in Re3, those mercenaries from various countries. It seemed more real, not those generic UBCS soldiers you encounter in ORC and have shootouts with.

We dont have invisibility technology like THAT, and especially not back in 1998.

I liked Lupo but played Bertha more. Team wise I had Bertha, Four-Eyes, Vector and Beltway sometimes I swapped him with Spectre but rarely. I like Bertha's German accent and Lupo's French one which is why they're the main women I play as. One time my team consisted of Lupo, Vector, Beltway, and Spectre.

Although I play Bertha more I play Lupo better. Don't really know why but so far I can play her best. I guess because she's 'Assault' and I don't pay too much mind to my team mates. Unless they're dead and I have to revive them. I've grown to enjoy ORC the more I play it. Now if only I could cover when I want instead of it just making me do it. *shrug*

You didnt point out the ridiculousness of my complaint, you just said 'you cant complain about the cloak because look at the invisble hunter in RER and the flys in RE4' and like I said, this is a ORC thread, theres a time and place to talk about the other invisible BOWS.

And yes there is implausible sciences in RE, I get that. But when it comes to invisible cloaks and Thalos etc I dont like it at all. Is that hard to accept? Thats all there is too it and ill leave it at that as I cant be arsed arguing over something so stupid.

its stupid. the whole team is stupid to me. They are so out of place. Are we suppose to believe that Whilst HUNK's team are using an MP5 or Benelli and the biohazard suit, Vector has stealth camo, Spectre looks like the dude from Parasite Eve 2, Bertha/Lupo/Four eyes has this flash neon stuff. Its just daft. Its 1998. Broadband didnt even exist in the mainstream yet we are to accept invisible stealth camo Metal Gear Solid style?

REmake/RE2/RE3 had laboratories but they didnt have all this super neon advanced stuff as we see in ORC. It felt like the top of the range military technology available 14 years ago. The test tubes were basic with none of the neon stuff, the equipment is basic to today, the labs weren't massive, they were compact but efficient. REmake labs were basic in that there was one room for BOW concepts, the science labs werent flashy, they were dingey basement types not multi billion complexes with 35 different labs.

To be honest. RE ORC labs reminded me completely of The Hive.

Vectors invisible cloak would have been acceptable as a perk in multiplayer. but not in the main story. In my canon mind, the invisible shit never happened lol.

You shouldn't let your hate on the game get the better of you. Yes, the characters were ordinary people. These guys aren't. They are a special team sent on a special mission under difficult and unpreceded circumstances. They needed the stuff. And it wasn't Spectre, it was Vector. Vector had that stuff because he was the recon specialist and they propably just thought they needed stuff like that on the mission.

They didn't change HUNK's appearance because of obvious reasons.

Hate for the game? 2 weeks religiously playing! Im enjoying it alot but things just glare out.

I mean you say they wouldnt want to mess with HUNK but they messed with every other thing like geography of the city, the landmarks, the fact that birkin attacks the USS in the sewers which is why the rats, insects etc carry it above ground and cause the outbreak.

The hospital is blown up by nicholai, but ot can in no way be the hospital carlos made jills vaccine because its a different building entirely, but its next to the clock tower and park. So it IS the hospital.

Love the game bar stupid AI but im playing it and im like 'thats wrong, thats wrong, whys Kendos shop there when clearly its near the alley not a wide open area like this nesr the RPD.

I love what it tried to do. Loved the city streets with zombies, but everythings so misplaced and wrong. The lab clearly is influenced by The Hive from the films. Various aspects are taken from the films and it just disjoints things.

I know Vector is recon but camo is only there for the perk. Why does the spec op recon have the same mimicry and camo if umbrella designed it? Just a perk for the Cod crowd taken straight from Killzones Sniper class

The geography of the city has been different from one time to the other. For example, the RPD and the surroundings in RE3 looked completely different from RE2 with the barricades etc. even thought the games overlapped each other. I can look past the cosmetic errors as long as I get myself some extra story.

I've already said quite a few times that this game can be taken partly canon, just like the Chronicles games. If there's something that completely differs from the originals it's not canon and is there just for the sake of being there. I thought they did a nice job with the Birkin part and as HUNK left to battle him the battle could have been taken down to the sewers.

Nicholai did blow up the hospital in RE3 too. Maybe Carlos is shown running around there in the Spec Ops campaign?

While Vector is excused in my books the Spec Ops camo I can only explain as gameplay mechanic and not canon (since it has not been used in the fmvs as of yet, unlike Vector's).

I know Nixholai blows up the hospital but thats on the 30th of september. Carlos makes the vaccine while leon and claire are in the city.

Nicholai blows the hospital up BEFORE wolfpack programmes nemesis to kill STARS members, which means brad is still alive and its the 28th.

Further confusion is when the intro after the first mission shows 168 hours since the outbreak. 168 hours is 7 days. The lab infiltration happens on 22nd, wolfpack come on the 29TH according to the mission briefing, but jill is hunted on the 28th of september by Nemmy. Theyve totally screwed the dates up which is why it cant be the same hospital because timings wrong and you see nicholai running out the building, ORC he is a fair distance away sniping a helicopter.

THEN comes the question of why the helicopter is not scene or heard by carlos or jill as its next to the clock tower. Nemesis blows a helicopter up before she gets infected at the clock tower. Nicholai wouldnt even BE at the clock tower as he wouldve been downtown with carlos and jill killing UBCS at the pharmacy, being near the Newspaper building, power station uptown where you first meet drain demois.

Its just confused itself massively.

What stuff though? Leon didnt crash next to the police station nor did he ever meet wolfpack. Jill never met spec ops. All the geographical incorrection and the timing were completely wrong and massacred.

It was marketed as a spin off if i remember. Theres just nothing canon unless capcom destroy RE2/3 and remake them to incorporate the terrible accuracy of ORC.

I wanted to take nicholai as canon until we got to the hospital. Sacrificing his team? perfect! Then they screwed it up. theres just nowt canon pal, everwheres days a spin off

So what if it's a spinoff? Survivor, Dead Aim and both Chronicles are canon and those are spinoffs. Hell, I even take Confidential Report, 4D-Executer and the Outbreaks as canon until proven otherwise.

You cannot change my mind. Maybe the game is inaccurate but some elements I can take as canon. Not all but some.

Fernando fan, you are taking this shit way too seriously. Its a RE third person shooter. Some parts are canon, and some parts aren´t. The designs seem to be inspired in the movies, so fucking what? is it in some way not making you enjoy your old RE2 or RE3? this game is meant to give you a third person experience in a zombie infested town, and the unique chance to play from umbrellas side instead of the survivors. I thought that was pretty cool. The appearance of canon RE characters are easter eggs. But this game in no way rewrites previous RE games, it just gives them some backround. Lighten up, smoke a joint or get laid, no point losing sleep over it. If you don´t like it, don´t play it, end of story. But your sounding really butthurt over nothing. Take a chill pill, dawg.
