| So apparently there will be a stage play based on the game series. A stage play with an original story. The craziest part, this play will feature Rebecca Chambers in a whole new story and marks her first appearance since the original Resident Evil. I'm not sure how canon this will be but this play will take place before the events of Resident Evil 6. I uh... I'll just paste the synopsis here. "An outbreak has occurred at a university in western Australia. Chris Redfield and Piers Nivans are sent to investigate and eventually meet up with Rebecca Chambers, who is a professor at the school and also a consultant to the BSAA. The central mystery will revolve around a young man named Tyler Howard, and his potential role with the outbreak."Rebecca's new bio says this: "A professor of philosophy at the University with an exceptional knowledge of chemistry, she is also a consultant to the BSAA. She was previously affiliated with the special forces team STARS of Raccoon City Police Department."The thing is going to be called Biohazard the Stage. I'm fairly certain this is one of those things that will forever stay in Japan but who would ever have known that the first time we see Rebecca since forever her appearance is going to be associated with an actual actress. I hope someone records the play and adds English subtitles, though I guess that's just hopeful thinking. Of course I would've wanted to see Rebecca in a game or a CG movie but even still, it'd be interesting to know how this plays out. Pun so f*cking intended. | Yeah, I heard about that, I wasn't too sure what to make of it or if it was even worthy as news. I guess this is technically the first time we've seen Rebecca since 1996? I agree though, would rather see this as a CG movie. |

| Next up: Resident Evil on Ice. It'll be bigger than Card Games on Motorcycles. |

| A little more info has surfaced. Piers Nivans will be one of the main characters in the play, along with Rebecca and Chris. This means it must take place before the events of RE6. |

| Apparently, it's a what-if... so no. No not at all. I'd be glad if they didn't even try to fit it anywhere. |

Where'd you find that? All I've heard is that "it's a new story in the universe". Wouldn't you at least like to know where Rebecca has been? |

A straight quote from the link: "The game is not a hypothetical, 'what-if' side scenario." |

| Some news on the play. First of all, it seems to be actually canon and takes place somewhere between RE5 and RE6 and marks Rebecca's first canon appearance since the original game. Speaking of Rebecca, here is a picture of her fighting some zombies with Chris. This is her official face now, at least until she appears in the movie two years from now. And here's a picture of Piers and Chris, just so all the known characters are shown. Here's Mary Grey, a new character and a student in the Australian university Rebecca works at. You can see a lot more pictures of the show in Kotaku's article: http://kotaku.com/first-look-at-the-resident-evil-stage-play-1737994312In all honesty, the whole thing looks really interesting. I wouldn't mind if I could see it myself... But wait! I can, and so can you! The whole show will be released on DVD with English subtitles in January! How awesome is that? |

| A bit of information I got from a reply to one of my comments on YouTube, sent by Project Umbrella. Rebecca isn't actually a professor at the university, she is posing as one and investigating the disappearances at the school as per requested by the principal. Here's the full reply I got: - Project Umbrella wrote:

| I found out that CDJapan is providing imports of the DVD because apparently it was too hard to release it outside of Japan, despite it having English subtitles. It's a bit expensive but if you are one of those who want to keep up with the series' lore (like me) this is a pretty good way of obtaining it. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEODAI-10763 |

| To be fair, people pay way more for figurines so this isn't all that bad. Does suck though. YouTube might not be the best option for that Would probably get flagged super fast. |
