| Do you agree that before you play the re1 remake its essential that you play Re0 so that you learn about weskers true motives and the reason why are stars at the mansion etc....?
Strange how Re0 was released after Re1 in that respect. |

| Do I agree? Does that mean that you believe RE0 should be played beforr REmake?
In RE0's opening, it mentions both Sheena Island(Survivor) and Rockfort Island(Code Veronica) as if it's taking a look back and delving into past events, like the initial leak of T in Arklay, as well as allowing the player to learn more about the beginning of Umbrella and how the T-virus was created.
Plus, if you play RE0 first, it completely ruins the mystery with a traitor in STARS, as we will KNOW from the get go that it's Wesker.
So I believe RE0 should be played AFTER games like REmake, RE2/RE3,, Survivor and CVX. Besides, RE0 is one of the most challenging games, and it has a new and more complicated gameplay style, with two characters and such, so it would be best to go in with the experience of some previous games, rather than starting with RE0. There is also some charm to seeing the bad guys from RE1(Wesker) and RE2(Birkin) working together, and under the thumb of RE0's bad guy(Marcus). |

| Star Wars effect. Should you watch Phantom Menace, Clone Wars, and Revenge of the Sith before A New Hope? If you're an idiot, maybe. |

| I actually had this conversation with someone new to the series last night! IMO you should play REmake before 0. If you play 0 first, then major plot elements for RE1 will be spoiled. |

Actually, Star Wars Episode II is called "Attack Of The Clones", not the, "Clone Wars". Even if that movie showed the beginning of The Clone Wars. Otherwise, I completely agree with Vandal. It's the same concept. |

| Oh right. Well, not a huge fan of the new Star Wars movies anyway. I got confused with that crappy spin off from cartoon network. |

That's why it's called a prequel, because the events portrayed within take place before previous entries. Prequels are an established form of media. There's nothing strange about it.

| Like going back in time from an omniscient perspective. By the time you play 0, you should have already played 1. Seeing some events from 0 should make you think "Oh that's how that got there." |

| I think that remake or re1 should come first if you're a newcomer, RE0 is full of easter eggs and characters that you could only understand if you have played until at least CV. If you're replaying the series, you should begin with RE0 yes. like I did |

Strange how Re0 was released after Re1 in that respect. Zero was in production for the N64 and obviously would have looked like RE2. But they scrapped it. Sometimes, when I play Zero and then the remake, I think Rebecca went weaker. Although she had been through a lot and that reflects her experience. |
