I don't really care enough to watch a 12 minute video of gameplay on a game that is just yet another zombie survival game. The gaming market is starting to get oversaturated by zombie survival games. There's really only one game of the genre that I'm still interested in and that's the one that made the realistic survival aspect a big thing and that's DayZ. |

@mass yes another zombie game but did you watch the video? its different then most. Pass on the game, not the thread. I've got pleanty to say on samey bland zombie games. I remember a time when a zombie film or game in the media was cool, it meant people could embrace horror as a genre more openly; now it's oversaturated the market on the other hand, horror turned into action comedy and it doesn't really scratch that pulsating tumorous itch for horror as much as I want. Jump scare here, flesh eating walking dead there, yadda yadda yadda, I've seen it all before. So why did I like the idea of a zombie survival themed game to begin with? Well I was fucking 15 and surviving with your friends in an abandoned school seemed like the shit back then. What would you do? Where would you go? What would you use as a weapon? The reason I like my zombie game thread. I liked coming up with this shit, and now it has worked it's way into video games, novels, daytime TV, it doesn't seem as exciting as I once thought it was. It's not different than most zombie games. They're all the same. Every single one. |

| Did I say that? It would be nice if you could comprehend what I write for once.
There is no horror anymore, which is why I'm putting my money on Mikami to bring it back. In the end, I see no difference between Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Ghosts. I see no improvment from Battlefield 3 to Battlefield 4. The main difference between Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite is that you go up instead of down in the lighthouse. Oh yeah, and they took out the horror like Resident Evil did. |

| Do you not play Silent Hill? I think they have plenty of horror, even today. |

| I actually don't, I can't exactly say why. I suppose whenever I tried to pick up a title in-store I would read a review and the review would trash it then end up walking out empty handed. Can you recommend one in absolute conviction that it's good? |

| If you want to start from the beginnings you could get your hands on the original game, as long as old graphics and dated controls don't matter. It's a brilliant game, still.
But, if you want to jump straight into the masterpiece of the series, go for SH2. I still haven't played the PS3 HD version so I can't really recommend that without hands-on experience but what you should absolutely avoid is the 360 HD version. I would recommend go for the original version.
If you want a couple of the games for a decent price, try to find The Silent Hill Collection, which has SH2-4. |

And to resident evil they said there going back to horror base like the first games do to fan feed back on re6 i posted the link in the resident evil 7 thread. |
