Resident Evil: Fun Facts

At first I thought I'd make a thread about a thing I just recently found out but then I thought, why not make it an actual thread with all kinds of fun facts from RE? So that's what I did.

In any case, the thing I'm talking about is Ivy University. You know, the place in RE6 where the C-virus outbreak initially happens. I was playing Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations and in a flashback case it was revealed that Phoenix actually studied in Ivy University. Both being Capcom games, the fictional location most likely isn't a coincidence.

Is this to assume that they're in the same Universe? They should make a crossover.

That already is a thing. Kinda. Marvel vs Capcom 3 with Phoenix/Maya and Jill/Chris/Albert/Nemesis.

It is pretty peculiar that they used the same location twice. I'm gonna go with "yes".

But MVC3 is by no means canonical.

Oh, you meant a canonical crossover. Then I have nothing. It'd be fun to see Phoenix make a cameo in RE or an RE character make a cameo in an Ace Attorney game.

You know what would have been perfect? Have some open yearbook in RE6 at the University where you could see a photo of Phoenix.

Well that makes sense. Since Pheonix Wright was the one that put Spencer and Umbrella on Trial.

Did you know that Shinji Mikami didn't play Resident Evil 5 until 2012? He said it was shit.

I actually did pick up on that believe it or not. I saw The Professional after I finished Resident Evil 4 and thought it was a little too much to be a coincidence. Glad someone else noticed it.

Uhh could you post a link where u got that info from??? Ur right about him not playing RE5 until last year but I couldn't find him saying anything bad about it, this is something he said until RE5 was released "It'll just cause me stress if I play it. Crimson Viper costume in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is inspired by Claire Redfield. It is said that one of the costume she wears is an inspiration for Claire's ironic look in Resident Evil. Kinda a tribute for her.

You mean a color or an actual alternate outfit? Because I did find a picture of her color palettes and the last one kinda looks like Claire's color scheme, only with the jacket and shirt color swapped.

Nope, not an actual costume. It's a alternate color costume that looked like Claire's outfit. Yes it's the last one.
