Resident Evil 7 for PlayStation 4

Rumor has it that RE7 might very will be one of the games in development for PS4.

Well, Capcom only published Resident Evil 5 for PS3 360 and PC.

I already heard about this. But sure thing is the PlayStation 4 will be launch by the end of this year.

I think it's too early to speculate on the game anyway. Capcom has just released RE6 so it'll be ages before we get even a hint of RE7. I propably won't even buy a PS4 before that happens.

I Agree with Mass. With the PS3 version's DLC just now bring released, I'm sure there might be more updates in store. I expect the next RE to come out in 3-4 years. Five came out in 2009 so and Six last year. I still have hopes it might take that long to going from 6-7.

I'm not sure how much longer Capcom can extend the story. I really think this next game could be the end of the line. Then a reboot may happen.

I mean, with Wesker dead and Ada's clone dead, who else can the villain be?

Well plenty of villains, like Ada's clone, were introduced in they same game they were killed in so they could easily introduce someone new. If they don't do a reboot then it's likely that they'll make the villain someone from Simmons' Family, Alex Wesker, someone who was supposedly involved all along, or just something out of nowhere like Carla or Saddler.

Exactly. Capcom has done a good job of introducing new villians, but then making an equially impressive mistake by killing them of in their debut. Irving, Sergei, Simmons, etc.

If they want, they'll give us someone new. If they choose to stop being a teasy little bitch and give us what we've all been waiting for, Alex or Nicholai, then that's be cool with me too.

But we haven't hit a ceiling in regards to the villians in RE. That is not a reason to start over.

umbrella just needs to blow up the world and hide under ground until its safe for nuclear gas. but i like jake so i wana see him kick ass.

There needs to be a RE game that is Sony exclusive Playstation only.

Well.....Not necessarily a game based around the main storyline, but more of a side game with it's out plot. (Outbreak File 3?)

The way I see it, Xbox gets many things first, many things in better quality, and well....just better extras.

Xbox owners got screwed over with the RE6 special edition already. Xbox came around too late for the majority of the RE series. I know what you are getting at, Xbox has had it good over the years. When it comes to Resident Evil though, PS still has the upper hand.

Personally, one thing I think PS3 has always had over Xbox is a better quality online community. I definitely notice a difference, and I would have given up a few game titles if it meant we could have that.

Ah ok. Based on what you've just told me, RE isn't currently the best on the 360. So Sony is better for RE? My mistake, I instantly thought of COD and thought how unfair it was that PS3 players have to wait a WHOLE MONTH for the DLC to come out just because Xbox gets it a month early. A MONTH! Do you realize how irritating that is?

I was just talking about the content that came with RE6 for the PS3 special edition. I couldn't really say if RE was better on the 360 or PS3 because I've honestly only played RE5, RE6, and ORC on my 360. The only DLC I downloaded was the Spec-Ops pack one for ORC. I play most of my RE on other systems. My main point was that in the long run, since the first RE game was released, Playstation has received numerous titles compared to the Xbox. That is why I think it would be a poor choice for Capcom to make a canon or even a non-canon game dedicated to the Playstation.

Don't get me started on COD , I don't do those games...so I could care less about the DLC releases, for PS3 or Xbox. I acknowledged that Xbox has had it great compared to PS3. I was just talking about resident evil though, nothing else.

If they are actually going to reboot everything or whatever, I would rather they somehow found a satisfying way to end the current story before they drastically go back to the start. There's nothing I hate more in horror media than having so many loose ends.
