You're going to be disappointed. She's onscreen for less than a second before she dies. Honestly, the only reason I see why people wanted to play as Rachel so badly was because… well you already know.

I'm definitely buying this and hoping it sells well or they'll probably think a more visceral approach is needed (ala RE6).

Indeed. Then again, they could still throw in a random DLC chapter like they did with RE5 and are planning on doing with RE6.

Okay, it turns out that the future DLC the game will have is mostly for Raid Mode. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a DLC chapter, though.

It also looks like pre-orders of the PS3/360 version from Amazon will award you an extra costume for Rachel in Raid Mode. That is, you can play as her infected form.

I preordered from Gamestop. Could honestly care less about playing as Rachel's infected form much less playing as Rachel herself. I usually played as Jill anyway.

About a month left until this game gets released. Then I say roll on RE7.

I hope they make the series scary again, like in the days of the remake and other survival horror greats. As noted already, Revelations is a great start on the road back to the classic horror roots, as it does actually try its best to be horrific and I do like some parts where you lose your gear and have to sweat it out without your guns.

Well I'm actually more excited for The Evil Within than another Resident Evil. The only reason I'm picking up Revelations is because I know I liked it and I can finally play it with my friends.

that'll be just a few weeks before the release of the game, maybe it won'¡t be worth it to spoil it that close to the full game release

I guess that's one way to take it. If it's the same demo as the one on 3DS it won't spoil much, though, as it took place in the beginning.

I'll be playing it only to see if there's any differences in the editions for I'm still not sure if the extra Raid mode stuff is worth getting the game again.

Think I'm looking forward to this more than I was for 6. I regret watching the full walkthrough on YouTube when it was released, Thinking it wouldn't be released for consoles.

Geez, I can't believe it's getting released already. It doesn't feel like any time really passed waiting for this game. What were the preorder bonuses again? I really forgot everything.

It's retail but no price yet, apart from the special editions. I would guess it's gonna be the same price as any new game, around 40 to 60 bucks depending on where you buy it.
