Dead Space 2 Death Scenes (Brutal video!!!)

Resident Evil needs death scenes like this....

Wow those were brutal. I wouldn't like to see those kind of deaths in Resident Evil. The RE games are, or at least they were (prior to RE4), a different kind of game than Dead Space. We don't need uber gore and over-the-top deaths to have a survival horror game, that kind of distracts from survival horror imho. But RE hasn't been a survival horror series for at least five years, so they can do whatever they want to the new games, I won't care.

I wished RE did had gruesome and graphic deaths like Dead Space. I always wanted to see zombies ripping flesh off the skin. My favorite deaths was always the tripod decapitations, eye poke machine, and Isaac shooting himself in the head with the javelin gun.

We don't, but it sure as hell doesn't hurt to have them lol. I'am a firm beilever that RE needs to be more brutal.

Yeah, Resident Evil 4 was brutal. If you got attacke by a navistador, your face would melt off, if you got chainsawed you would be clearly decapitated, if you were stabbed by a charging garrador, he would catch you by the head and raise your still twitching body up and impale you again. 

Resident Evil 5 was so lackluster on gore. There was almost none, whatsoever. Also it was harder to die. The chainsaw majini often stood there as you take pop shot at him. Almost as if he was unaware of your presence. Even when you were chainsawed your head always stood intact with your body. 

We did see some potential that Capcom wanted but didn't add in their sketches, because they were opening up Resident Evil for a broader audience. 



I agree with Sarg. Resident Evil should have brutal explicit gore. If that's not your thing then that gives you an incentive to do better and not get killed so damn much. 

I've seen these tons of times. And I love them. My favourite has to be the eye poke machine.

I was so disappointed that 5's deaths were dumbed down. I think RE5 should've had the same thing like Black Ops and added an option to turn on/off mature content.

Overall I think brutal death scenes could add to the horror experience more.

I thought the death of Dave Johnson in RE5 was quite brutal. That's pretty much it, though. The in-game deaths were quite lame.

Have you seen the death reel ending of RE1? Those deaths were horribly brutal for its time.

Yeah I have to agree on that one, what I hated the most was how they had to censor the death scene when your killed by a chainsaw.

I know right? Well when you were eaten in half it was pretty graphic, but I think there was a major lack of blood. If you notice your blood fades away even after you die in Resident Evil 5.

Gore does add to the horror. It's like icing on a cake. Necessary? No. But it sure is fucking awesome to have it.

There is some promising gore sequence in the Resident Evil 6 trailer though. Some guy's back bubbles up and erupts like a balloon with too much water. Hope there's more...

Oh yeah, forgot that one. They usually just ram me for some reason, which is really annoying.

If I remember correctly, it won't even show the whole thing when you get eaten.

Huh. Maybe it was just the camera angle I had at that point.
