| This is basically my Dream RE game, something I would really like to see, and a direction I really want Capcom to go into.
Resident Evil 7: Deep Freeze
Billy Coen is laying low trying to enjoy his life at the edge of a small town named Blackwood, in the middle of nowhere, VERY up north in the mountains with TALL pine trees everywhere, very secluded, surrounded by tall snow capped mountains, with a blizzard on the way. An outbreak ocures at the town's center. He has a choice, run and evacuate or go and help those in need but get caught during evac and risk having the US army find him and charge him for his "crimes" and spend the rest of his life in Jail. He'd run towards the outbreak in an attempt to help anyone he could. He is a former soldier after all, he has a desire to do what's right. He'd run into all sorts of characters and survivors and eventually into a (female asian alaskan native mix?) cop/sheriff/agent (main second character / partner) at a government building/police station who would realize who he is. Become his enemy but be forced to work with him throughout the choas. Billy would have to gain the cop's trust over time as they're thrown together in this nightmare. Eventually he'd save the cop's life. Cop ends up trusting him over time.
The MAJOR game mechanic is the blizzard. As time passes in the game more and more zombies are added from the infection spreading. Survivors in hiding are found by BOWs and infected. So the zombie count will increase dramatically throughout the game. You'll start out on the ground but eventually towards the end only the rooftops and vacated buildings will be traversable as most of the town will be overrun by zombies and BOWs. As the blizzard nears the town the temperature will drop more and more making the zombies slower. Dead meat freezes.
In the beginning of the game you are able to shoot and kill every enemy with the ammo provided, but towards the end you'll have to change your strategy significantly as there will be massive ammounts of enemies. You won't have ammo for them all, so you'll be doing a lot of weaving in and out of groups of slow enemies and picking off specific ones only. At the very end of the game the blizzard freezes everything over, BOWs included. Threatening to freeze you dead in your tracks you escape to take refuge in a mountain archive dug out long ago to house "records".
They'd eventually find out that it is Tricell's Archival Storage facility, buried deep inside the mountain's base. Visualize "the hive" from the first resident evil film but with more tunnels, server rooms, cages, etc... Inherited from Umbrella during a buyout of assets when Umbrella collapsed. It housed archival records and backups of all of Tricell's material and samples, including the ones inherited from Umbrella, AND the ones inherited from WillPharma. Our survivors find out that Tricell is now the owner and mandated to house their own records within the archive center. With Tricell responsible for the events in Africa, and the uncovering of Tricell's BOW plan with rogue umbrella agent Albert Wesker, the company needs to destroy evidence of it's wrong doing in order to survive and not become like Umbrella and WillPharma.
You see, the world has changed a lot since Racoon City.
New established international standards punish any company found guilty of viral outbreaks by shuttering it and forcing it into bankruptcy, effectively dissolving it and selling its assets to a more responsible company. So rather than prevent viral research, international law instead punishes companies that fail to contain their viral research. Record keeping is also manditory, otherwise the company is shuttered. Records are confidential and off limits to investigation due to their highly classified nature, unless an outbreak occurs.
This way companies have an incentive to make biological advances in weapons and cures but are killed off and dissolved if outbreaks occur. Umbrella shareholders were able to lobby for these international rules after the Racoon City Incident. Their excuse to congress is that, "Like it or not BOWs are the new weapons", the new threat no matter what, the new atom bomb, so the only way to combat this new threat would be to have stronger BOWs than your enemies. This will eventually create a cold war between countries (USA, China, Russia, EU) as they begin stockpiling and creating more and more volatile BOWs. Each superpower afraid of the other's BOWs will creating more and more just to intimidate others and protect itself. And the companies making these BOWs stand to make massive profits off of the insecurity of governments. Every government NOW wants it's own BOWs so it won't get bullied by others. Just like with the Atom Bomb.
So companies like Tricell and their competitors employ dirty tricks, they unleash outbreaks around the world to scare governments into investing in BOWs to keep themselves safe, while stealing their competitor's BOWs and unleashing them so that their competitor can be dissolved into bankruptcy. Profit and Power at the cost of life. These companies in the next few games will make Umbrella look like a Saint. Had Wesker not fucked Umbrella over this never would have happened.
Back to Tricell and their Coldwell Archive in the mountain... If Tricell's wrongdoing in Africa is discovered it will be forced into dissolvement and a LOT of investors are going to lose Billions. If Tricell destroys its own Archives to hide this, it'll be forced into dissolvement anyway. If it's dissolved its competitors will buy up all of its assets/samples/research/BOWs. To prevent this a rogue shareholder hired someone (H.U.N.K.?) to go to the Coldwell Mountain Archive and sabotage it. Making it look like Umbrella's Biological assets got loose and destroyed the archives legitimately, thus none of Tricells fault. Basically evidence laundering. Tricell now has a legitimate excuse for the destruction of their records and are able to rid themselves of self incriminating evidence at the same time.
"But why stop there?" this individual asked him (or herself). Tricell's bankrupsy is only an outbreak away, and if that happens it's assets will be bought up by a competitor. Billions are at stake. The BOW market is young, if you lose now you won't be able to catch up with established players later.
So this "mysterious person" wants to keep Tricell around but at the same time wants to start a competing Stealth BOW company so they can diversity their risk. If one company goes belly up they can have the other as a backup. Tricell shareholders would never allow this, so they can't be trusted with the plan. Letting Tricell go bankrupt and legitamately buying up its assets is also a bad idea because you'd have to outbid other competitors. So this "mysterious individual" wants to "have it all" without loosing any money. So the data, samples, and research have to be stolen. They hire a mercenary (hunk?) to take samples of every BOW, download all combat and research data onto microdrives, steal it in a shiny metal briefcase, destroy the Archives (freeing Tricell from wrong doing in Africa and saving it from Bankruptcy), while delivering the data to the "mysterious individual" so all the samples and research data can be used to create a competitor (without having to destory Tricell and wait to bid for its assets). it's a WIN / WIN situation. One person will have a monopoly in the BOW market.
That's the storyline of RE7, it sets up the next decade of Resident Evil by introducing us to the new world of BOWs becoming the norm while a "mysterious individual" hangs in the shadows and collects assets after disasters. I highly suggest it be a female villain. Someone with Excellas looks, an accent (because foreigners are intimiating), and the greed & ruthlessness of Wesker.
Anway when you emerge from the archive. There is a quietness that the town hasn't heard of in decades. The undead are frozen, the living have died from the cold. And only a handful of town survivors are left to drudge out in the snow towards evac at the end.
The female Cop insists that she and Billy stop by city hall on the way out. The cop goes through undigitized public records of the people in town who've recently passed away, finds someone that looks similar to Billy and gives him the dead person's file with ID and birth cirtificate. Thus giving Billy Coen a new identity, a new life, no more hiding, no more running, no more laying low. Essentially freeing him from his miserable life of solitude. He is now a normal citizen, no one important, no one special, just a normal person like everyone else. When asked where he's off to next, Billy answers "I wouldn't mind hanging with you for a while". The female cop and billy it seems, have found love in a hopeless place, amongst chaos and fear. In coldness and isolation they've warmly been brought together. This puts an end to Billy in the RE universe. He gets his Happily Ever After. This also guarantees that Tricell and others will be major players in future games.
Capcom is going through a tought time managing their "corporations" it's also going through them like skittles. Umbrella is gone, WillPharma is gone and Tricell is on its way out as well. Ada mentioned "S Corporation" and "the organization" in RE4 during Ada's mission but Capcom dropped this entirely and ignored it in RE5. WTF. Ada's mission in RE4 was to prevent Wesker from obtaining the master Plagas sample, so at the end she sent him a fake one and gave the real one to "the organization". Is the Organization => S Corporation, and is S Corp just a code name for Tricell. Because in the end Tricell and Wesker were working together and he DID receive the plagas sample and create Type 2 plagas, Meaning Ada's mission to keep it away from him in RE4 was all for nothing. WTF. WTF. WTF. |

| I like the snow aspect of it, that's something the main series of RE needs more often. |

| Nice storyline, man that was a big read but some interesting aspects you have there It is still speculations if Billy is going to be or not, its not been officially confirmed. I don't mean to burst your bubble RE521 but even though both stances look uncanny that is a natural stance for someone using a 2 handed weapon. The stance is like that to brace there body for the recoil. If you remember also in the Damnation trailer the mystery man is standing upon rubble so that could explain the elevated knee. We will all just have to wait to see if he is featured, its maybe maybe not situation just now P.S The leg that is bent slightly and to the front is his right leg, his right leg in that other picture is behind him |

That doesn't really prove it's Billy. The stance isn't even identical so the circled parts seem irrelevant. Even if the stance was identical, it still wouldn't matter because anyone can hold a gun like that. A stance is just a stance. Although I do hope that mystery man turns out to be Billy and the hairs do look similar. Here's to hoping though.

| The second you mentioned Billy, I couldn't stomach reading any longer. - Residentevil521 wrote:
Proves nothing except that the shooter knows the proper stance when holding a long gun. By your logic, all of the following pics are of Billy Coen. - Spoiler:

| Capcom should take note. I would love that, Billy(for me) is my favourite resident evil male because he has so much potential but still capcom introduce even more characters and forget about the old ones :3 Bravo |
